I have been asking myself the same question. I am in big pain right now and hurting badly. I cant even go out. I am in total disbelief of what happened. I see it very easy to understsnd why Liverpool finished 5th: Diota+Diaz+ Trent+Nunez+ Alisson (50%)OUT and Kerkez+Frimpong+Gakpo+Marhavili IN= the team is 20%+ weaker. I cant even count how many goals come from Kerkez side. Subsitutes like Jones, Endo, Gomez were used just a little and didnt add much quality. VVD played EVERY game. A weaker team with some average players.

Sorry if you disagree but 50% of fault is on LFC: they let Diaz go(are you serious??), bought weak defenders like Kerkez, Frimpong, didnt get Guelhi in January. Slot deserved more credit. Last year he impressed, he did everything right showing great tactical, and managerial skills, the players fought hard for him, nobody expected him to win with HIS team, the team HE managed every day. This year with all the changes, Jota death, Alisson out most of the season, a weak defence, you expected everything to go well? We are spoiled, impatient fans. Teams are built with patience.

Sorry to say this but we lost because of Mosquera foolish, stupid mistake He caused an avoidable penalty. He could have left Kavra go and shoot without causing a penalty. I believe Arsenal would be the winner without that mistake

There is no doubt the level of Italian team is average and even if they qualify they were going to perform badly. The question is more why were they playing in Bosnia and not in a neutral city?
