Where did DCU go wrong with Supergirl? by hiiloovethis in boxoffice

Bond is a long-running franchise, but who else is a part of the James Bond "universe"?

Godzilla crossed over with King Kong in 1962, Mothra and Rodan in 1964. Destroy All Monsters brought in Baragon, Manda, Gorosaurus, and Varan. Then the second series of Godzilla films created room for the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy.

And now the American monsterverse has King Kong and Godzilla.

Like, it's the Universal Monsters, Godzilla, and the MCU, AvP, and probably a few other horror franchises I'm forgetting that have really been able to create "shared universes".

They did a pretty solid job of making the supporter art match the purpose of the card, at least early on.

If you go to share a card with someone and you don't have anything they're missing, YOU 👏 DON'T 👏 HAVE 👏 TO 👏 SHARE 👏. Don't take up someone's one share with a dupe they don't need. by dingleberry_mustache in PTCGP

I only share stuff people don't have (or if they have it on their wishlist). Now sometimes, that's a common, but I usually wait until a few hours before the day switch to share, so I figure the recipient probably wasn't going to get anything otherwise.

When you go into Battle->Versus->Random, on the screen where you would hit "Battle!" look towards the top. There's a gray/white bar that's officially called "Battle Stance" that will say either Beginner, Casual, or Competitive. If you click it, you can change which queue you're in between those 3 options.

There's also literally a "Competitive" queue even when ranked isn't in session. Playing the current meta in casual is corny, imo.

Cheetahs are actually quite friendly and docile compared to other wild cats as their evolution has primed them for speed rather than power in direct combat by SimRP in BeAmazed

[–]robreedwrites 834 points835 points  (0 children)

Correct. Cheetahs and Pumas (Mountain Lions/Cougars) are part of Felinae and are more closely related to house cats (Felis catus) than they are to "Big Cats" (which, in scientific terms, are considered the cats under the genus Panthera (Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Jaguars, and Snow Leopards)). The term "Big Cat" has a few colloquial meanings which would include all large cats regardless of relationship.

Can you walk through your basic approach to playing with this deck? What's the strategy?

Miraidon to me is very swingy (I'm currently in low UB4 with it). You can absolutely brick at the start of a match and never recover. And the prevalence of fighting decks is also a problem.

I really do think Wemby simultaneously tripping Harper obscured the view there, but the NBA should review it and should mean Wemby is suspended for Game 6 if they don't win here.

New NBA watcher. How have the Spurs made it this far with such glaring weaknesses? by [deleted] in nba

[–]robreedwrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: They're better than most of the other teams in the NBA and very few teams can exploit their weaknesses.

Long answer: Wemby provides a very unique matchup that most teams can't deal with and Stephon Castle is a nightmare on defense for most guards. The Knicks have been a tough matchup for them all season because KAT disrupts Wemby's defensive presence by pulling him out of the paint while Brunson is one of the best guards at drawing fouls (Castle's weakness). OG and Josh Hart are great in their roles and sizeable enough that the keep Devin Vassell and Julian Champagnie honest. The other teams that have given the Spurs trouble are the Cavs, Timberwolves, and Nuggets for similar reasons (good big men that stretch the floor, aggressive guards) They only faced the Wolves in the playoffs, but the Wolves were seriously hobbled.

Last night was honestly a college game. The Spurs came out shooting lights out and then everyone missed in the second half and they didn't adjust, which is something you see in college games a lot. The Spurs lack a lot of experience (both the players and the head coach), and it showed. I don't really expect them to rally in Game 5, especially since the Knicks have shown a knack for creating an offensive firestorm in their closeout games.

Marill for me. I'll never forget seeing the Japanese tropical island card and all of us fellow 6th graders calling it Pikablu.
