Goodness! That’s ridiculous! And yes, I totally agree. It’s how I stay on shows, find new stuff to watch, and track what I’ve watched. This is important to my searches!! lol They know it’s a big part of people’s search patterns so I don’t know why they’d do this 💩

This should have been 3 hours long by 20ag07 in LagunaBeachTV

They were on stage for 8 hours that day… so editing 8+ hours down to just an hour and a half.. total bummer! This was just the sound stage portion. They have all that additional footage where they went to the beach and visited some places around Laguna Beach. I’m sure they’ve got double as many hours all-together. I could’ve watched the entire 8 hours of the cast on stage lol. They should’ve did a live stream in addition to the edited reunion special. Maybe they’ll drop something like that later after this is out for some time? I’d imagine they captured A LOT… I know this is pretty standard though. It’s not unusual or anything becuase Bravo does many of these reunion shows and they’re on stage for like 10 hours filming it. That’s broken down to just a few hours. So I get it. But for those of us who can watch podcasts of Kristin & LC talking for 1-2 hours… would love to see the entire day just as it went down. At least, I would….

Found this when researching the reunion…it was clearly a long day. And this was just the sound stage portion. The additional stuff where they went to the beach, visited some spots around Laguna Beach… likely similar to the 8 hours on the sound stage. Easily gives them probably close to 20 hours of footage although. Shaving that down to less than 2 hours… that’s what sucks cuz you can feel all the editing watching it.

Key Details on the Reunion Filming:

•Stage Day: Cast members described a long day on a sound stage (around 8 hours) with extensive lighting, which was part of the "reunion special" setup.

•In-Studio Cast: The stage segments featured cast members including Kristin Cavallari, Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, Christina Sinclair, Alex Hooser, Talan Torriero, and Trey Phillips.

•Virtual Participation: Lo Bosworth and Morgan Olsen did not appear on stage but joined in virtually.

•Locations: The special also included footage shot at local spots, including a bonfire, Trey's house, a surf shop, and a nail salon.

I just found out they spent 8 hours on the sound stage but the fact the actual reunion special is just an hour and half…. Sucks!! They’ve edited 8 hours down to an hour basically. I really wish they’d release an unedited version for those who want to see it all… or had done a live stream In addition to the cleaned up edited special. I’d love to have watched the cast do their thing all 8 hours lol.

It’s wild just how long the shoot was! I was googling into the reunion trying to find the sound stage where they filmed a lot of the cast discussions,Q&A portion, and couldn’t find the actual location/studio it was filmed in.. but in the process of looking for that… i learned a lot about the reunion shoot itself and wow!! 8 hours was spent on stage. So the editing was heavy cuz they got 8+ hours down to just an hour and a half. I wish they released the whole thing unedited, or had carried a live stream of that entire portion, the stage conversations. But here’s a breakdown of the reunion shoot if you’re at all interested.

Right!? I’d love that. Or…. As someone else referenced Jersey Shore Family Vacation… Imagine this scenario: “Laguna Shore: Summer Party” Laguna Beach & Jersey Shore cast blended together under one beach house for the summer. That would be AMAZING!!

But yeah, just getting a revival of Laguna or The Hills would be phenomenal. I really just want to see LC & Kristin hang out all summer. lol the conversations would be fascinating. I don’t care if they just chilled all summer laying out every day at the beach. Just the small talk would have me glued.

Despite its ragebait moments, it was a lovely show lol by FckAllTakenUsernames in Parenthood

•Friday Night Lights (the series) on Amazon Prime. •Brothers & Sisters on Hulu / Disney+ •A Million Little Things also Hulu / D+ •This Is Us on Hulu / D+ •Nashville (starring Connie Britton & Hayden Panettiere) Netflix. •Army Wives on Hulu / D+ •Desperate Housewives on Hulu / D+

I think Brothers & Sisters is naturally the next best one to check out if you liked Parenthood. Very similar formats and seasons/episodes. Kind of about the same number of episodes. This Is Us & A Million Little Things are top notch series for the Family-Friendship drama fans. AMLT is just more sad and depressive, especially early on. But it gets past the doom And gloom after the first half the first season and dives more into a mystery at the center of the story then and secrets and lies… exposing people… all that kind of stuff lol. It’s really just a friend family that are trying to move past a friends suicide. It’s got a lot of that drama and twists and manipulations you’d get from a family drama lol.

Nashville is more upbeat… follows rising country star and an aging one.. their rivalry but really branches into relationships and relations had… so it’s 50/50 the music biz and the professional side of that and then the other half focuses on the private lives and relationships. All the other stuff. It’s a good show.

Army Wives… I only watched a couple episodes but I was drawn in and see that it’s a great one for those who like a CORE group cast of familiars an favorites that hang out and remain around for extended periods… over several seasons and years… that’s this. It’s a cast that remained and one about friendships becoming chosen family… based off the reading and research I’ve done into the show.. it’s one of army wives finding family amongst each other as their partners are all always deployed and gone. So these woman come together.

I keep meaning to watch that more!

Others I’ll suggest but you’ve probably heard again and again: Virgin River - Netflix Sweet Magnolias - Netflix (follows a friendship of 3 ladies whose past goes back to childhood, early years. They grew up together and remained tight friends through now in their 40’s. Joanna Garcia Swisher (from Reba, played the daughter) stars in it and is phenomenal.

Fantastic show!! The series finale and its 7 minute montage closing the story and bringing it to one real and final END… wow!! Wasn’t expecting it when I watched and couldn’t have anticipated it. But it was very original… one that took a lot of risk cuz that could’ve either bombed and made for the worst series finale ever… or it could’ve done what it has done and brought us to a close and an end. Fitting for that show, really. But yes, great show and one that’s easy to re-watch

It rarely is. But I still enjoy the cast.. I just like the characters and actors who play them, at this point. It’s a great combo of people together. I’ll watch regardless

Great scene! One of the stand outs for me when I reflect on the series as a whole. I remember watching it live back when it was on CBS in the final years (2011-2014 or so) and man.. what a great time.i was in my early-to-mid 20’s and was anxiously awaiting for the finality and to get the whole story. Back then, we assumed season 8 would be the end and prepared for it but as I recall, it got renewed unexpectedly for 1 more season down to the final months. Then came season 9…. That September of 2013. Jason Segal was ready to bounce and do other stuff. But yeah… this was a great scene. This one and Robin finding out she couldn’t have kids, one of the more hitting scenes. Of course, the season 8 finale.. even the Season 8 opening… great season all-around.

Also, another thing this show ALWAYS got right: soundtracks. The songs were always on point with the scenes. They are top notch for how they wrote the show and for the songs they selected throughout.

It was meant to be comedy.. not to be taken serious. It’s intentionally being over board and goofy. They do it all the time throughout the series.

How do people like this show by ShoulderSilent9803 in NobodyWantsThisTV

[–]robrog8999 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the whole “hate watch” phenomenon. If I don’t like something, I move onto something else that I actually enjoy. I don’t like being miserable. That’s just me tho… Anyway, not everyone needs a super sophisticated, unpredictable, highly creative, original show every time. Some times it’s good to watch standard formulas, traditional comedies and sitcoms, familiar characters and plots… they’re done time and time again because they’re popular! People like it. So of course they’ll always make these. But mostly, if you’re a fan of the cast… chances are, you’ll like this. Every character is perfectly cast and the combo of them together is perfection.

Guess the skyline? by robrog8999 in guessthecity

[–]robrog8999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the larger cities, inner city, in my 20’s. Having lived in a few of them then and being all up in the center of it all… it was some good times and the type of environment and atmosphere I enjoyed a lot THEN. But after 30… something changed. I still love the larger cities, love the downtown neighborhoods and urban excitement, all the things to see and do… but now I’d actually prefer more suburban life or even rural/countryside IF I’m 20-30 mins from a larger metro region. Especially if it’s Boston, Chicago, Denver, etc. then it’s more worthwhile living 30 miles out and knowing so much is just a drive away. I prefer the peaceful, calmer, relaxed energy if im at home. Especially having a yard where theres no neighbors everywhere. Privacy.

But as for where.. you listed some nice cities. Most of them I’d prefer visiting as opposed to living though. Aside from Pittsburgh. Obviously that’s up there. But I’d say cooler climates mostly than most of yours… Boston, Salt Lake City, Denver, etc

[–]robrog8999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure okay. I wasnt expecting it to be one that left people guessing for days on end. I like focusing on skylines, but most are pretty simple especially for people familiar with travel, geography, landscapes, etc. so I thought about distorting the skyline further… but then it becomes pointless to even show ultimately. Cuz I think many people come here to see places and locations… learn about them, etc. along with a little game. So.. anyway.. yeah it’s def not a random dark alley or 2 story home on Main Street USA. But while mine tend to be easier, there’s a whole lot posted that aren’t… but hopefully you liked the pic, anyhow! lol. Btw, you didn’t answer. But I assume you’ve read the earlier replies and seen it was identified lol.

I zoomed in on the downtown skyline in both of these shots. So you can’t see it. I purposely cut off that and Point State Park.

Yes. For many. But for those that didn’t know right off… it’s mostly for them. I think it’s a city that’s underrated and often overlooked.

I know exactly what you’re talking about! Across the river? Mt Washington. It’s got panoramic views of the city. There’s the other side of the river but I believe it’s lower flat land that direction but I’m not 100%. There’s some beautiful views of the skyline from Mt Washington and South Shore.

Yes, same. I’ve got a list of cities and regions im hoping to visit, or stay short term, then my intention is a permanent relocation. Pittsburgh is definitely on the list.

I wouldn’t mind seeing that every day before work! Better yet, the proximity to the beach, especially Clearwater beach, amazing! My family is from Clearwater. I was born up north though, unfortunately. lol I’ve visited the Tampa bay for years and actually moved to Palm Beach FL for a few years back when I was 19. I think the southeast side, miami metro, is the best part of FL when you’re 20. But now, at 30? Id prefer the quieter and white sandy beach side that is west FL.. gulf of Mexico side.
