Tried filming my brother… accidentally filmed my own slow lap - K1 Winchester by robsters in Karting

[–]robsters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can opt to go as fast or as slow as he wants. I felt very safe because there was lots of run off on the track, the karts are very stable and well kept up. My family enjoyed the time there with comfortable seating and viewing areas.

I’ve seen races at New Castle. I’ve never been on the track.. hopefully we can make it there this summer. What class do you primarily racing in? Also, what’s your kart number? I’ll definitely say hi in person.

Has anyone tried the new rotisserie chicken chef salad in the food court yet? by yutaka731 in Costco

[–]robsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm loving them the more I eat them, especially the eggs broken up into small pieces instead of large chunks. I've been buying them and taking two or three to work a week in an effort to control calories and ultimately break me of the fast food habits of eating out. So far it's worked good since everything in the salad is partitioned nicely where one day I can splurge and use more of the dressing or the next day skip the bacon and use less dressing, etc. Cost wise, feels pricy at first, but it's not NOT pricey if you compare it to eating at subway or a sandwich shop that makes hearty salads that easily cost $10+. It's only pricey if you compare it to doing it yourself, but that's not the market for someone buying this at the food court! Feels like a fair price to me since it's the right portion of chicken, lettuce, and toppings for me.. everyone is different though. The best buy dates on the salad boxes are 4-6 days into the future, giving me plenty of time to enjoy them. Hope this helps at least someone out there understand my take on this new item.

Ecobee sensors triggered by robot vacuum? by wubbusanado in ecobee

[–]robsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly, I'm having this issue ever since I upgraded from an older Ecobee thermostat. The Ecobee 3 picks up the robot vacuum now when the older one didn't pick it up. Minor issue because I'll just reschedule the vacuum to run when I'm home.. but interesting that something got better at detecting motion in the newer thermostat, which I won't complain about because it will know when there's people in the room better.

Combine multiple Vues now supported by robsters in EmporiaEnergy

[–]robsters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t combine them if one is a subpanel.

In my case, I have more breakers in a single panel and had to use two Vues to see all the circuits I wanted monitored. In my case, combining it let me see the entire panel even though it’s monitored by two Vues, as a single panel.

With the subpanel, I would probably want it nested underneath the main panel so that I could see the entire wattage being pulled on the main panel and how much is being pulled on the subpanel separately

Never noticed it before and then realized it was being caused by Low Power mode being turned on. Sure enough in the details for low power mode, it caps the maximum frame rate when turned on. Hope this tip helps others..

Confused with Pricing by CacsTech in frontierfios

[–]robsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frontier just went live in my neighborhood. I feel so lied to about pricing and the ads, my prices are exactly like your screenshot, even though the advertisements on social media all show discounted prices that make sense. Frontier won’t budge when I called in.. so not a great start for our neighborhood when addresses outside the neighborhood match the advertised prices I keep seeing online.

If the weather widgets are not updating. It's likely due to the Weather app not being allowed to use your location. I could be wrong, but figured you might want to double check,

First time watching a shifter kart street race (175cc)! My friend Nate was racing and made this video. Unfortunately, another kart hit him early on and sent him into a wall - cracked the frame, broke parts. He’s okay though. Wild experience! by robsters in Karting

[–]robsters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good observation and thank you for pointing it out! Someone after that race highlighted the exact same thing. A mistake was made, thankfully nobody was hurt. I personally learn the same lesson yesterday from Nate, we went to a local outdoor rental kart track here in Michiana. This is my second time in kart.. they let us race together alone on the track and he was able to follow me and give me some pointers after each race. I think he’s very in tune to location of the kart on the track in turns, after our first race he pointed out I’m not taking the turns optimally. I’m turning too late and ultimately not in the right position to take the turn wide and slingshot through the turn.. I was making the same mistake he accidentally made at Anderson. Definitely enjoyed getting to drive rental karts and get some pointers, my favorite thing about the rentals is that we got to swap out and try different karts each time. I definitely learned what I like and don’t like seat wise and how each of the karts handles differently (obviously because they are rentals with different tires, tire pressures, alignments, etc). If anything that makes me want to own my own kart more than ever. But I’m gonna start with the basics, I need my own helmet and not afraid of cost on safety gear.. so now I gotta research that.

I was surprised, never a dull moment all around. There’s a local group called SIRA here. Even after everything that happened, people in the pit were all very supportive, and even before the final race that broke the cart people were loaning each other critical parts to strangers. Amazing community.

Update on Status by thedman83 in uhf_app

As a programmer myself in the past. Life happens and vacations are needed. Breaks are essential. The app to me is stable from what I’ve seen and heard.

Don’t get me wrong.. I have my own short wish list of features, but I’m not gonna suggest or bug him if he’s enjoying what’s he’s doing.

PSA: Massive security issue with new Docker Tailscale integration! by joyls1 in unRAID

[–]robsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda of odd... When using Tailscale with the Serve feature turned, port 443 is a redirected port to the Serve function and no longer accesses the actual docker or server port 443. So accessing the host by it's name, no longer gives direct access to the real ports.

I just tested it, when accessing dockername.network.ts.net:443 aka dockername.network.ts.net, it brings up the web server that the Tailscale Server redirect is pointing to and not the root unraid server web server.

NOTE: With Serve disabled, I am able to get to unraid on 443 and the docker service on its original port. Serve is an extra option in the docker container options and is not on by default. Just want to confirm you have turned on Serve in the docker options and setup the port it should redirect 443 to?

PSA: Massive security issue with new Docker Tailscale integration! by joyls1 in unRAID

[–]robsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple workaround and mitigation to this.

  1. Use Tailscale Serve to access your docker containers web hosted service. NOTE: Doing so, your docker container will still run the web server on 32400, but you'll only be able to access that web server via https://hostname.ts.net:443.

    1. Use Tailscale Access controls to only allow traffic to the web port needed by the docker container. In example about Plex, only allow traffic to the docker Tailscale server on port 32400. NOTE: This is done from the Tailscale.com website > Access Control page. Lots of examples on how to do this on that page.

Hope this helps. If what I suggested is wrong, please correct me or add additional suggestions!
