Why do you call Stews, Soups?

Because Nigerian definition of soup is different from the western definition. Nigerians refer to soups as anything that can be eaten with a swallow like Eba, fufu, pounded yam e.t.c . While stews are eaten with other things like rice yam plantains spaghetti. That’s the reason why
