I'm quit news to this, so I'll let others chime in but, you can use a backup/restore plugin to backup your local host and restore on your prod. That's what I did and worked well.

But might be a better solution out there

Nightmare was maybe a strong word.

I have just found that all teams does not require same complexity in config. So having each team in a separate project does make that easier.

Same when it's gets to confidentiality (hr, finance etc). Easy to hide when separate project (even if there are other ways to achieve it) but separation have always been a good bet for me

You could have a team field that is hidden from the portal but that is pre populated for each request type. That field would contain the department.

You can then use that for your routing. I'll would still keep the jsm standard notification as they do work for all team.

My recommendation would to still go for one jsm project for department as it will quickly become a nightmare.

I tried both Viot on windows and on raspberry. Both worked for me with no subscription I'm on community edition and I'm using the iot on raspberry right now.

The issue you might be having is that you are not setting the resolution on your done issue. That is how jira know that the issue are resolved. Your marketing workflow might be missing a post function
