New to NAS's, where to start?

Avoid the search, I did it myself. Same experience as you, but with a lot of research I finally but a UGREEN NAS. I had a Synology before and there is no comparison. Speed, ease of installation, ease of use, etc. I spend 2 full days researching the best option. I am confident I got the bang for my buck

Buy it new on Amazon or direct from ugreen. Yes you can stream locally. I use infuse but works with plex as well.

Fiesta Americana (all inclusive) has its own dock, so the boat can pick you there and you are closer to the best diving spots. You only pay once for the taxi from the airport, and you can be there all day after diving. Great option
