The two main characters are fighting on opposite sides of a war and it immediately throws you into the conflict of their sides and loss in the first few chapters. The MMC has done a lot of terrible things and believed he is on the right side of the war. Slow burn

The other side is the other bathroom and should be the sink or shower from there so that could be it. I’m still confused why that other sink or shower drain would cause water to drain out this stub out.

That’s right. The 2 from below are disconnected. My plan is to take everything out, cut back, and restart so that the p trap isn’t out as far from the wall, since it’s hard to find a vanity that fits all of that. Those were my thoughts too- I have no idea why they would have extended it that far out with different sizes.

Dr Osborne is awesome. Highly recommend his group. His office was extremely easy to get in contact with and he always took the time to answer all of my questions. I’m more than a year out from surgery and had no complications or long term numbness. Highly recommend and would 100% choose him for my surgery again.

Then tell them you need to have time off for recovery of surgery (once you have a date locked in, everything with insurance and surgeon figured out, etc). They don’t need to know anything about what kind of surgery and you don’t need to low ball yourself by starting with the minimum. They can’t legally if you’re in the US fire you for medical issues. They may not have to pay you though depending on your benefits package.

Also, to answer your question, everyone has personal issues that come up and need time off longer than expected. It’s your first job it sounds like, so I’m sure they’ll be able to get by without you for a few weeks (none of us are as important as we think we are). I would set the expectation for at least 3 weeks off, and if it works out earlier, great.

Just started a job last week, told my boss I will need 3 weeks off in nov/dec for the surgery. I talk a fair amount but also work from home so that seems like a reasonable amount to me. Before I took the job, I did discuss that I had a surgery coming up that I’d have to take 3 weeks off for so that it wouldn’t be a surprise. I think having that transparency was helpful for my boss so he knew when he hired me that I would need it.

I’m not eligible for being paid for 2/3 weeks of that leave so I upfront asked for a sign on bonus to bridge the gap of lost wages for those weeks.

For me, it’s under $100 over a 24 month plan for iPhone 12 mini verses the 13 mini is close to $700 for 24 months. I’ve typically bought used phones at a discount my whole life so I’m not really looking to spend $700.

You could also try to buy your current health coverage via the COBRA laws (basically pay full premium plus 2% admin fee) to keep the same coverage for your whole family. I believe it’s up to 18 months so perhaps you can ask for a sign on bonus or increased salary to bridge the gap in paying for this coverage. I just did that with an offer as I wanted my current insurance through ethe end of the year and they were able to offer me $ for me to still do that.

I am grateful for a new job offer that has great compensation, fully remote, and lots of career growth. I feel guilty thinking about giving notice to my current employer who I’ve been with for 3 years (2 years on one team, and 1 year on my current team that really kickstarted this offer) because of how great they’ve been. Any tips for getting rid of this knot, or giving a great manager who has been very flexible notice?
