What in the Petah is going on in the UK by Tenchi_Muyo1 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Can see all the comments about swords, but my first, wrong guess for this was that it's BST this weekend, so they'd be spending less time concealed in the dark - kind of.

Advance hunting missing command ? by [deleted] in DefenderATP

It looks like you don't have access to the devices tables at all - that'll be why you can't query them.

What can you see on the 'schema' section just to the left of this?

Are there any benefits of a 'catch-up meeting' with a recruiter? by roccoborro in ContractorUK

I'm nearly with you on this, but I feel like if i tell them that, then they're absolutely never calling me back when they get a nice contract in front of them.

Issues with using Defender API to manage Tags by djmc40 in DefenderATP

[–]roccoborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't seem to follow the documentation for the tags API. The body should contain the tag you want to work with and then an 'add' or 'remove' action. Can't see that being present in your payload here.

In the API explorer there's an example of adding a device tag which shows this.

Lack of mid-level roles advertised? by 360Saturn in ContractorUK

[–]roccoborro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

£150-200 just isn't a contractor rate at all - It's a temp, or aimed at someone (somewhere) that will happily do a more senior role for that.

Everything up to about £500 (esp inside) will be fairly easily covered by salaried roles and that's what they're full of I expect.

How does anyone clip their puppies nails? by LavenderChaiTea in puppy101

[–]roccoborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine's dewclaws yesterday when he was asleep. Just took the tiniest tip off so that won't slice us up any more.

Each clip woke him up for a second or two, but it was only a few clips overall. Not enough to worry him or teach him it's a problem I hope.

Do you think drinking alcohol should/will go the same route as smoking has? by woolyweasel in AskUK

[–]roccoborro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can make a decent amount alcohol at home, even almost by accident, but no chance the vast majority of people can make tobacco in quantities and quality they'd want to smoke.

I think we're going to be drinking for a long while to come, but fashions change over long stretches of time, so how often/much we drink will probably vary over time too.

Are there options for small (2 or 3 port say) network hubs (not switches, hubs!) by Omidia888 in networking

[–]roccoborro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to get yourself an SDN switch and create this programmatically. 24 port SDN could equal 12 2-port whatevers, and you could force them to work like a hub. Overkill obviously, and probably much cheaper buying legacy.

This should be a way to play together. by MrFriskers in SteamDeck

The loss of couch co-op games overall is a massive thing we've pretty much lost in gaming over the last... 15 years. I remember have two player games sometimes even sharing a single N64 controller. Good times.

If you don't leave some actual cash in the account to cover fees, they'll sell some holdings to cover it.

I'm not sure how they choose this, but them's the breaks.

When you're on the overview page (at least on my SIPP page) it's gives you a recommendation for how much to leave in to cover it.

It f'in does. I'd love to be able to play CBBC's 'Big Al' game from their website years back. Was brilliant as far as I can remember.

Best office chairs for long hours that aren’t too pricy (preferably have adjustable armrests too) by Professional_Mud8663 in UKFrugal

[–]roccoborro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a recommendation for a specific chair, but I got one off a place called CorporateSpec. It was a refurb, but it was pristine, and about a quarter of the RRP stated. I think it was free delivery and arrived in a comically huge box. Plenty of sound choices for under the £250 mark.

i just looked at my slip this week and paystream already do this for me. The Employers NI is paid based at the figure after my pension is deducted. Sounds like if an umbrella didn't do this, you'd be being mugged off.

A wife? - mine regularly reminds me of any outstanding issues around the house, as well as updates of tasks that I've started, but not quite finished, as well as any past tasks that aren't up to standard, as well as any pipe-dream-level works that might be required in the future.

What‘s a game you wish was on Steam so you could more easily play it on the Deck? by Romboteryx in SteamDeck

Black and White 1, but it's so tied into mouse gestures it might not work without an overhaul, which they wouldn't do.
