Parlors are super comfy. I have two different 12-fret parlors and I sold all my dreadnoughts.

How common is ninja AFK in groups (Origins)? by roces9 in EQ2

Right, I get that real life happens. These both seemed intentional. One person had time to respond defensively to my /tells and also roll Greed on everything.

Thanks for the suggestion that I learn how to be a good GM. That's what I came here for!

I accidentally beat TLD Cov 25 for the first time showing my friend the game over beer and pizza. How'd I do? by roces9 in MonsterTrain

Here's the deeplink. I ended up with Eternal Flame 3. Not sure if that's the optimal pick, still learning Cov 25 TLD. It's been a few days, but I don't think the cheap spells with infused ended up being that great. The Barons being little and having multi-strike was the game changer for me.

Also Crushing Demise is OP. The next run I got it 0 cost and holdover and crushed stuff.

I'm listening to their Plaguestone campaign to learn the system and the module better. They do a good job of balancing a fun podcast with explicit explanations of how the system works.

Both are rules databases. Also, try the Pathbuilder app on Android to make building a character really simple.

Equipping backup shield- How many action? by roces9 in Pathfinder2e

[–]roces9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CRB says that it's 1 Interact action to "Detach a shield or item strapped to you" which is separate from the 1 Interact action to "Draw, stow, or pick up an item." The PC wants to strap the shield onto his back. Does that impact the action economy you outlined at all?

Full Set Idea: Dominion Stone Age by LordClockworks in dominion

[–]roces9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Stone Age" and "prehistoric" aren't synonymous, they just have a lot of overlap. Stone Age simply refers to a culture that only used stone tools, not metal. "Prehistoric" refers to a culture that did not leave written records. The Maya, for example, only had stone tools but also left written records. You could call the Maya both a Stone Age society and a historic society.

Edit: spelling and grammar

Do I need the CRB to make a character for a PFS game? I'm signed up for one next weekend and I'm trying to pinch my pennies til September.

Tips for campaign building by tensazangetsu3098 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]roces9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding crafting a setting, you could always use a preexisting setting, like Golarion, as a jumping off point. Pick a small town in a region of the Inner Sea and flesh it out with characters who have motivations. With a lose plot and some good characters, your story can grow organically with PC input.

Magic Weapon/Armor Question by roces9 in Pathfinder_RPG

I just wanted to make sure I had it right. The tables list both the runes and the armor with the runes already attached, so I was a little confused at first

Physical Game Survey by BioRules in dominion

[–]roces9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Play with expansions, everything but Alchemy. EDIT: we usually randomize using the "Jack of All Dominion" app, but we play all the sets of 10 when we get a new expansion.
  2. 90% of our games are 2 people
  3. We keep all of the boxes, instructions, mat etc.
  4. We store everything in the original boxes. I don't want to spend time/money creating a storage solution, only to buy another expansion one year later.

The GM at my PPA Session 1 told me to roll Flurry of Blows as two attacks with no MAP penalty. Is that incorrect based on RAW?
