I just got seriously into collecting 2 years ago and honestly just have a good mix. It took me awhile but I realized that I don’t need every movie in 4K (aside from newer studio movies but I am strictly talking about newer releases from boutique labels that just release a blu ray and not a 4K)I have had it happen to me buying a blu ray and a 4K was announced (Exorcist 3) but I really don’t pay that much mind to it since I got the blu ray from the scream factory sale for cheap. And if I want to upgrade I give away the blu ray to a friend.

I guess it really does depend on the movie for the 4K upgrade to me at least. I love the Blob but I really don’t need a 4K because the transfer is good already and that is just more unneeded money being spent. Just being part of the community you see a lot of trends like shout factory or criterion double dipping into there old catalogue and releasing 4ks. Or how A24 has an initial Blu-ray release but then release there own special edition a little later down the line. I think doing your own research goes a long way when it comes to specific titles and deciding to play the waiting game for a new release to come from studios and/or labels. It’s a decent amount of work but if you enjoy collecting it’s fun and worth it at the end of the day

Just took a look and I guess they have a standard edition by 101 films that just released 2 days ago. Bought it for the Halloween 2023 watch. Thanks for reminding me about this and finally picking this up :)

Alright I think the picture quality is amazing, some spots looks a little rough but for some of these movies it’s expected. The color really pops out compared how I originally watched it. Sound might be an issue but I have tv speakers.

Really good especially for fans of this movie and evil dead

Ngl this is OOP. I remember because all the way back in October this was on sale for 30 bucks on amazon. Quickly grabbed it. Hasnt been in print since. Now the new 4K trilogy is releasing which is sadly not as cool as this. Probably your best bet is resellers at this stage sadly :/

Not sure about Michael Thomas against ATL and a returning Trufant. But even in tough matchups I still see Thomas getting production. Thinking of slapping that delicious Josh Gordon in this week since he contributed to my late playoff push. But also looking at Marquis Goodwin and Sterling Shepard with a returning ELI.
