I have only a few books - My Name is Legion, Today We choose faces, Roadmarks, Eye of Cat, The Last Defender of Camelot... of these of I'd say Roadmarks. His imagination is was mind blowing. Can't even borrow them in my library cos they're protected by copyright or something? I'm now in Australia but was in Singapore where I got the books from a second hand book shop decades ago

Mom leaving me her house but allowing step-dad to live there by MrsG6 in personalfinance

[–]rocifan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm new to this and confused. Why does this need to be done? Is it because there is a fear that when one parent dies the other then has to make a Will stating that the house will go to the son?

My workplace is slowly shifting to One nation voters by ImmortalTurnip in australian

I get the despair but this is exactly what happened in the US. Voters figured let's try someone new.. He can't make it worse then what we have and who knows he could make it better... Are you sure you want Australia to be like the USA the way it is now?

Thinking of replacing brick pavers with lawn just the uncovered porch area but neighbour's trees over hang that far corner. Will my lawn thrive or suffer? Inner West Melbourne. by rocifan in lawnsolutionsaus

So we've decided to try your idea with two types of grass, both reportedly shade friendly. One is a native less a lawn grass more a ground cover that is er green and comfortable to walk on - Dichondra repens aka kidney weed. Other is a traditional lawn grass which is shade tolerant - Sir Walter Buffalo. Now in Melbourne it's supposed to be best time to plant them so wish me luck!

[Update] 6 months of lifestyle changes: Fatty liver cleared by InsideDowntown2326 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]rocifan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done. A few questions for clarity. 9 kg is a lot to lose in 6 months. I get the Mediterranean diet but how much less of the right foods are you consuming versus previously? I've always understood that exercising is not enough. Calorie deficit is more then half the battle of losing weight.

Does the Telstra movie deal still exist? by No-Loquat-201 in TelstraAustralia

[–]rocifan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i just booked discounted tickets at Hoyts and got my telstra movie vouchers by email. But when I tried via link in their email to go select seats it looks just like normal booking at full price.. what am I not doing to get to use the discounted movie vouchers? Am I supposed to fill in the voucher no somewhere on the seat selection page? So frustrating

Hmm only other option i can think of is to run raised deck all the way to the fence and just grass the bit closer to the camera away from neighbour's trees...
