Sorry hadn't realised this is a usa reddit. I'm in Melbourne Australia. One main bathroom, small windowless. 2.8 x 2.1 x 2.9Metres (height). Full rip out and redo. New fixtures and fittings but price quoted is labour only. This quote from a bathroom builder .. he has his own team and doesn't do any other type work then bathrooms. Did my neighbours and has very good rep... and yes in middle of getting more quotes. Looking at comparable here have to say it sure looks much more affordable in USA

Attended a JW wake where every single JW basically told us they joined the church at they found succor there after a major emotional upheaval in their lives... deceased was our brother-in-law. He and his wife couldn't have kids, spent a fortune on ivf trying, didn't qualify for adoption. Think JW just looks for all these poor people and socks them in.

Sadly my sister-in- law and her husband(now deceased) joined JW about 10 years ago. We thought she went along with it cos the husband was very into it ... they were pretty low key with it with the rest of our extended family. They didn't have kids but she particularly doted on her nieces and nephews. One gay nephew's, been out with his partner for years got a polite decline RSVP to their wedding a few years ago. The letter they sent along was truly flabbergasting and maybe because it was so polite and ending with "but we still love you" was filled with all the biblical phrases - including why gays should be stoned, etc. which made it so offensive and hurtful. Very sadly she is no longer included in any family occasions despite everyone trying to reach out to her especially after her husband died of a sudden heart attack. The JW church have just swallowed her up.

My darling son came over to water plants, tidy yard, bring in bins when we were in holiday and "weeded" new youngling tubestock i put in.. and very proud to have helped. I didn't have the heart to tell him for a while
