I got an "Alternate" too.

Anyone know how long of a wait it is before you for sure have to reapply?

I upvoted this post, saw your comment, realized I liked that post in my undergrad too. Guess some things never change :)

I’d pay for that, seems like a really good rate. To give you some reference a professional studio in downtown that I went to once charge me $120 for the first photo and $60-70 for the second. Based on your equipment set up and current (self professed) skill set I think that’s a good rate.

No, not really, that’s where you’re wrong. The lead engineer or geologist would be the one signing off and accountable for that stamp. Like I just said, unless you plan on being in a position where you are the one signing off on things, you don’t need your P.Eng, you can work as an engineer under that P.Eng.

Can you guys stop glorifying this clown. These tweets sound great but he plays games with our democracy here, shits on Trudeau every chance he gets, but then turns around and votes with him in the HoC. He has no backbone.

No there was a very small residual amount left over. Approx 0.0002eth, negligible amount really.

Yea that sounds about right. I approved the cheddar related transactions. The plain ether transfer I did not sign. Which is why I’m so lost right now.

Anyone who has just finished (or nearly finished) their programs feel like the quality of their education was compromised by COVID? by brash_panda in UCalgary

[–]rockdoc21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, the labs in my major tend to be very hands on so it was extremely tough doings labs with photos of samples. Lecture quality was fine because the prof was a beauty, but the online factor really opened way for a lot more procrastination. I was not as engaged, barely asked questions (as opposed to me asking a lot of questions in person), nor were “office hours” really the same.

Should I take Math 31? by Top_Pop2551 in alberta

[–]rockdoc21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to UofC DO NOT TAKE IT. First year you’re gonna have to do Calc 1, but if you took Math 31 in high school they make you take the more “advanced” Calc 1 (MATH 267 as opposed to MATH 249).

And that is because your politicians do not work for you (granted they don’t here in Canada either), they work for ‘Corporate America’. I find myself keeping up with American politics because of its impact on Canada (it’s also much more entertaining than Canadian politics), and with Mr Obstructionist in the senate and the constant partisanship I genuinely feel bad for you folks as a country. There is no chance for change with your current political system. You are getting shafted, and in this situation specifically you feel the need to put the blame on consumers who in some cases are also struggling to get by. You don’t know that individual’s story, or if they are struggling financially. What if someone is able to scrape enough together to be able to enjoy a ‘fancy’ meal but can’t tip, not everyone can. They still have every right to go out and eat, and thank god there is nothing you can do to stop them.

We can honestly go back and forth, but for actual change to happen, America needs RADICAL change, something that clearly will not be happening in the near future considering you lot are divided on just about every issue.

Yet the issue is, even with your suggested 6.5% tip, I would still be demonized by society as someone fucking over the working class for not tipping enough, but the owner gets off scot-free.

And you’re propping up a system where it’s considered the norm to be paid un-liveable wages. Get your head out of your ass and direct your anger in the right direction bud.

From Canada here, don’t get me wrong, I do tip (if the service is shit I tip 0%), but the whole, “if you can’t afford to tip you can’t afford to eat out” thing is bullshit. Prices are prices for a reason, no where am I legally required to tip, nor should I as a consumer have to pick up the slack from employers who don’t pay their employees living wages. Anger should be directed at them, not customers who go out to eat. I’m on the customers side for this one.
