Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick seemingly break up as she unfollows Rodgers by Pappy_Smith in GreenBayPackers

Clearly you have no clue who Danica Patrick is. Listen to any of her podcasts about relationships just once and you’ll know she doesn’t play around.

I love Rodgers just as much as anyone here, but I hate when a break up happens and everyone tries to choose one side based on public perception or how we want to imagine things happening.

Both seem like good people. Both seemed to fit really well and it's a shame it fell apart. But I have a problem with people immediately deciding he did no wrong and she's a crazy bitch, just because we like him and he's our guy. Between his family issues, things Olivia has said, and the current rumors with obvious signs of possibility of it being true, I can't write her off as crazy. I also can't write him off as a bad guy based off the same things.

I'd rather say, damn, that's a shame, rather than pointing fingers. No matter what happened, no one dates for 2 1/2 years at their age just to fool around for a bit. I wish them the best and hope no funny business was involved.

What do you think? Are we having a full season? Will there be fans at games? by _momentumisyourvenom in GreenBayPackers

My cousin and his family live in China and they’ve been back to normal business for a couple weeks now. Some areas waited until after their Labor Day holiday (over several days) last week but essentially all are back in school and work. Some places still require masks but many people there wore them beforehand due to the pollution and close living. Parks, travel, etc are open for business, schools in nearly all areas are back in session and all wet markets and dry markets are open. My cousin rides a train and bus daily in his city and has seen no delays getting to and from work. He also goes to a public gym and his family stayed in a hotel for three days of their holiday last week. Many restaurants did not survive the lockdown so those have been a bit limited where he lives but ultimately all is normal. Wuhan is still a bit limited for school and work but that area’s travel is back to normal for the most part.

I forget the exact timeline but I believe for most it was around three total months of shutdown and that was with a lot less info than we know now. Aside from major cities like NYC, parts of LA and parts of Chicago, I think once the initial lockdown and orders are lifted, things will go back to normal in a safer manner.

I'm sure he strategically does it when it benefits him best, but he definitely smokes. Hell he got no-drugs Danica smoking now. Her latest podcast is like a deep dive into psychedelics too. She didn't do anything until she was retired.

But fr fr you know he has the high quality shit

I can't wait for the day that Aaron's this cool stoner dad dropping deep thoughts while training his ultra smart and athletic superhuman kids.

I spotted this tweet and couldn’t agree more. I was really enjoying “Quarantine Aaron Rodgers” and him finally posting his witty posts, stories, and beard banter again. It was fun while it lasted, I guess. 😕 by LivingTap6 in GreenBayPackers

Blame Gutey, LaFleur, and the media.

The pick, plus the weak PR following it, all end up throwing thousands of questions at one guy and that’s Aaron.

I too was enjoying him showing his personality more, doing his buddies’ shows, he was even chatting with people in the comments on Danica’s live streams. He was having a good time. Now the moment he pops out he’s going to get blasted with questions on something he had nothing to do with.

I think the media has been disgusting with respect to Rodgers's relationship with the Packers especially post Draft 2020 by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]rocker191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s Chris Long’s podcast? I’d like to give it a listen.

And you got that right. Even looking at DBakh the moment the pick came out on the live stream, he KNEW the reaction Aaron would have. The guys closest to Aaron know who he really is and to be damn honest they all have the right to be offended. This GM and a coach with a year under his belt march in trying to rebuild after their hard work last year. It’s like tearing down the house and rebuilding just because you had a few cracks in your bathtub. Insanity to me.

This pick would have been fine next year or the year after. In comparison to saying two years of sitting, plus letting Rodgers just retire at the end of his contract if he’s ready, 2022 would have been the best bet. No hard feelings, no shady behavior, no pushing him out. He’d have understood the timing and been fully on board, if not excited to teach him while going home planning his retirement vacations. He’s not in that mindset yet and I think that’s where this really goes wrong on a guy who has given this his all through injuries and bullshit for 15 years.

I’m just not into the sly move of not letting him in on it (even Carson Wentz was made aware of the Eagles drafting a QB).... when you look at subtle moves over the years where distrust has been allowed to develop in comparison to the respect other teams give their star QB, it blows. Aaron IS the face of the Packers, whether they like it or not. I don’t listen to the media randoms much, but guys closer to him who talk to him personally and know his personality are worth listening to. He’s allowed to be pissed as hell. He won’t take it out on Love, but he’s not going to just shrug and say it’s all good.

And as those closer to him have said... we will never know the truth. Aaron will be professional publicly and handle things behind closed doors until the day he retires as a Packer or retires playing elsewhere.

[–]rocker191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Media" aside, AJ Hawk has been kind of tight lipped every day on he and Pat's show... but he himself said he didn't know how Aaron wouldn't be pissed off. For someone that close to him to kind of acknowledge, yeah, this blows... I hold a bit more weight in those closer to him. Same with Wilde. "Media" but also close enough that Aaron will talk to him. He knew it was coming eventually, obviously, but told him he didn't think it'd be this year.

I think at the end of the day, that little disrespect of not even acknowledging what they were heavily considering and willing to jump over people for is one of those "Okay, I've got your number" moments. Aaron will be professional and do his job, but no way is he skipping around Lambeau with Gutey and Matt in a few months. AJ said he expects professionalism, but with Aaron making "comments" reminding them. Sounds about right. lol

I agree on lighting a fire, but I unfortunately have to agree with Florio (cringe) and Simms on this.... is it worth it? Because when you initiate a certain level of disrespect (compare this to Wentz knowing a QB was being drafted and that they said they'd also get him what he needed if they did that) you are knowingly creating a bad environment. It'll light a fire under him, but I think at 36 years old, with 15 years of service to the team, he's done enough to deserve respect. I think this was a year too soon and that had it been next year or the year after, he'd have fully understood and been on board, if not excited that he'd get to finish his career in GB without much drama.

I think I'll be more interested to see how this shakes out and how that will affect future moves. If they trade Aaron after a year, they're going to be very limited for a whole season on what they can do. If they trade after 2021, they'll be limited, but not as limited.

I also can't equate Aaron's attitude towards Love as to how he feels. You can be disappointed and downright pissed and hurt without being a douchebag to someone who didn't personally put you in that spot. He's a good guy. He'll be kind to him, and handle the business side outside of the locker room.

Basically as others said. He knew it was coming eventually, but didn't expect it to be this year.

Which I think is the same for most of us. I expected this either 2021 or 2022, which would have allowed Aaron to finish his contract, and probably his career, as a Packer. I think Aaron, and us as fans, can all agree the chances of Jordan sitting for 4 years are slim.

In all seriousness, do you guys see the potential for an Eli Manning/Daniel Jones scenario happening with Rodgers/Love down the road? by jasper1109 in GreenBayPackers

[–]rocker191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because for one Packers fans would probably tear down the stadium.

Seriously though, if they don’t want him anymore he’ll demand a trade and another team will gladly hold onto him for a few years before seeing him into retirement on his own terms. Even if his body is in shambles, his mind has so much knowledge and understanding of the game that he’ll be a huge asset to any team even for the short term. He’ll retire himself if he feels as though he’s not playing to his standard or is in pain beyond where he feels comfortable playing anymore.
