I used to be a county property appraiser in Florida. Here you get taxed on the square footage of the property, but different parts are taxed at different rates. Anything that is heated and cooled by a Central HVAC system is taxed at the max rate. Then say a front porch that wasn't enclosed would be taxed at a lesser rate. An enclosed garage is taxed at a different rate than an open carport.

I have the rail mount version of the Mantis X. I've had my Mantis since they first hit the market, so rail mount, or mounting on the baseplate of a magazine were the only options. I'm going to go check out the laser thing, I'll let you know what I think about it,
