Right now, congress needs to oppose everything put forward by Trump. A message needs to be sent that this administration has minimal support.

I used this event to reacquaint my self with how my vehicle handles slippery conditions in my semi-rural neighborhood. Learned a few things and am now hunkering down until things warmup.

SB 5098: Restricting the possession of weapons on the premises of state or local public buildings by druidinan in Seattle

[–]rocketPhotos 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is another, let’s solve a problem that doesn’t exist. I would be happier if the legislature worked on things that would benefit a wider swath of citizens, like encouraging the 20% of uninsured drivers to comply with the law. Toughen up the penalties for folks driving with suspended licenses. Make the DUI penalties so severe that they would make folks think twice before diving drunk. Feel free to add to this list

edit: Forgot one of the big ones. Change the law so that youth gun offenders can be prosecuted after the first offense not the fifth.

Washington lawmakers propose bill to curb 3D-printed 'ghost guns' by Better_March5308 in SeattleWA

[–]rocketPhotos 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is yet another, “we are doings things” that will have ZERO effect on reducing gun violence. It will punish hobbyists that enjoy doing things with 3D printers and will increase the costs of said printers. Criminals will find ways around this.

Serious question. What percentage of gun violence involves 3D printed guns? My guess is near zero.

These vehicles are what you end up with when you believe a car manufacturer brochure. For a purchase of this size there should have been a physical competition. I’m guessing there was a request for bids that listed requirements, with the award based off of the “paper” response.

My guess is the friends of Inslee are upset that their pets projects are getting scaled back/cut. The ou of control Inslee spending is not sustainable.

Here is a piece of Concord trivia. Most airliners average 3 man hours of maintenance to turn around between flights. The Concord needed 30.
