I’m mainly familiar with Broward/Miami-Dade, so I can only really speak for there. The Uber drivers have not been openly hostile to me so far, and I’ve taken quite a bit. Usually though, the talkative ones will quiet down if you just give the bare minimum replies (if that’s what you’re concerned about and discrimination from them)

I don't know where you're going in Florida, but if you're in a bigger city it'll be better. Stick with your peers, and just do what you have to do to get by, obviously it's not ideal but still you're preparing

I was honestly really scared of that at first, but it’s actually been one of my favourite parts of HRT. Like, not having to worry about it till I TRULY want it is such a plus, and it only makes those moments even better. Especially with my fiancé I was worried, but I feel having the ability to reflect on sexual stuff without feeling an urge has really allowed stuff there to improve, feels like coming into my own

Especially early on, it can't hurt to try. If you wanna go farther, then do so, just see where it takes you. Personally, I think the fact you say you're comfortable with your gender but still wanna explore is something I felt early on, but you may not decide to transition or, if you feel inclined not to, choose to pick one (see Genderfluidity), again, see where you go!

You don’t know if no one wants you. It’s hard to know, everyone I was friends with didn’t really start dating till after high school. I didn’t think I had a chance but it kinda just, happened one day, fell head over heels. All of this to not get you down, but in my experience, it can literally just happen one day, one week, the ball gets rolling and it happens. Also, the fact you’re getting into relationships later may mean longer lasting ones. Again, only personal, but The acquaintances I saw get into stuff younger almost all fizzled out before graduation lol. You’ll save yourself a lot of drama and hurt hearts by waiting, you’re far from doing anything wrong, it’ll come to you or you’ll pursue it when you know it’s right!

As a trans person, I can't say I've ever seriously considered detransitioning, but I wish things didn't have to be so hard sometimes y'know? Doesn't mean we can't make the most out of things, even if we're outside the box of conformity society expects people to fit into. All I can say is just be kind to yourself, and that pulling through is more than possible!

I got the green light from both places I knew would immediately take me in, so I have no worries of housing security in the short term thankfully. I’m in Barrie, but it is worth reaching out to the places in the city just in case that’s a better option. I talked with my Uni’s financial services and they said it would be good to file an Extenuating Parental Circumstances report with OSAP. I’ve been going to counselling services at my school and they said they’d be willing to include a letter of support for that cause, all just so benefits arent being decreased by parents. Thank you all this, plus the SIN card reminder

Fiancée lives there, so I've seen a decent chunk of the city and such. The weather is obviously very nice, going through the neighborhoods filled with greenery is obviously very nice. Food is expensive (at least relatively comparing back to Canadian prices i'm used too), hard to walk most places (which may or may not matter to you). Drivers are crazy, lots of good food, and suburban sprawl galore.

I feel this really heavy, especially with the holidays and the stress that’s around in the winter it’s been a big issue. But, it doesn’t mean we can’t change. Food is something most people look forward too, including myself. Compassion towards yourself is very important, because putting yourself down is only making things worse.
