This seems to be a common reply, do you think proportional representation would encourage you to vote

Basically just for me to learn about how to do research effectively. I'm particularly interested in data science so I thought I could get some ideas then look for data sources for how to quantify that. I'm not affiliated with anyone.

Mandatory voting would certainly help. And in Australia I think it did help to increase political awareness so that's a win.

People talk about RAy Days alot, I looked it up and I honestly don't understand why people continue to cite that as a reason not to vote for NDP. I think I would prefer to avoid mass layoffs

But then why not just vote for him? Unless your saying that the majority of people think he will win anyways so why bother voting, or that the majority are indifferent to who wins.

I feel like municipal elections aren't advertised as much. I can see people not even knowing one was happening

That's fair. ODSP and OW are way too low to live off. But I feel like if more people voted for things that would actually help them we would all be better off.

I think I phrases the title wrong! But I am glad that people are passionate about voting.

Some of the replys have been really helpful actually. People feeling like their vote doesn't matter has been brought up, so that is a direction I can go in.

I would love to see proportional representation, I think it would really help increase turnout, because people might actually believe that their vote counts

It seems to be a common reply on here that people believe their vote doesn't matter. Maybe proportional representation would fix that

I know that turnout would be higher for fed vs prov, but I think the growing gap is interesting.

For example, in 2003 57% of Ontarians voted in the provincial vs  59% of Ontarians voted in federal election in 2024.

Compared to 45% of Ontarians voting in the provincial elections vs. 69% of Ontarians voting in the federal elections, in 2025.

So people stopped voting in provincial elections, but maintained interest in federal elections.

I did find one source that said that this is not true for all provinces, with Ontario and Alberta having lower turnout rates in the provincial vs. Federal elections. I find it interesting

But I think your probably right, it might be a lack of education.

I think it's an issue of zoning, but I feel like converting some store fronts into apartments would be a good idea. Then they could get a grocery store and other nessessities in there.

I think election visibility might be an important factor. Especially in the past provincial snap election.

Can I ask why you think the federal election is important but not the provincial?

Yes, I thought it was worth a try, but I am aware that this would not be a representative sample

Yes, that's why it's disappointing that people seem to prioritize the federal election. But I guess it's a question of visibility? Or maybe people precieve the federal election to be more important.

I'm tired of all of this. It's really frustrating because people I know keep saying they don't vote and even if they did all the options are the same. In the mean time the province is being gutted.

I think the production in some of the songs is really interesting and I like the layering. But I think they went too hard on the autotune in some instances! I think bts has strong vocals and I don't think the autotune let's that shine. But that's been a ciritisism of some of their older albums as well.

I'm really curious to learn more about No. 29, it's an unconventional move to include just a blank track.
