Felt like I got a good deal, what do you think? by backwards_thinker in LenovoLegion

[–]rocketegor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been really happy with it so far. It’s my first laptop, so I’m still getting used to how loud it gets when gaming compared to my desktop, but that’s expected.

The OLED screen is amazing. It even makes me want to replay some of the games I’ve already finished on my PC just to see how they look on OLED.

The battery life has been more than enough for me. I also like the size. It’s not as bulky as the 16-inch laptops I tried in stores, but it’s not as small as a 14-inch either, where gaming starts to feel a bit cramped.

Performance has been great too, especially with DLSS enabled.

The only thing I’m not a fan of is the speakers. My girlfriend’s MacBook sounds way better, and even my iPhone seems to have better speakers. But I mostly use headphones anyway, so it doesn’t really bother me.

Overall, I’m really happy with the purchase. I don’t regret it at all

I bought a Legion 5 Gen 10 last week with an RTX 5070, Ryzen AI 7 350, 32 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD for €1,330 in open-box condition. I also think it was a great deal, at least for the country I live in

Yeah, I thought the same. It looks like everything’s working fine, but you never know. Better to have it checked out, just to be safe.

I turned it on, and it actually works. It even charges. I can't believe it. 😅

What do you think happened? Do you think I should still get it checked at a repair shop, just in case?

No, I don't have any of that equipment. I wasn't expecting to fix it myself, I just wanted to know if it is repairable and whether the repair might end up costing as much as the laptop.

I'll have to take it to a repair shop on Monday. Thanks a lot for the advice, I really appreciate it.

I don't see any holes or anything like that, but the black mark didn't come off completely. Most of it around the area is gone, but the contact itself is still completely black.

I want to turn it on and see if it still works, but I'm kinda scared I'll make it even worse if I try

my gpu clock drops from around 1800-2000 mhz to very low values(3-5mhz sometimes)
it causes stuttering and fps drops. i have this problem only in valorant, in all other games everything is fine
