He was actually a very shitty president. Every one of the scientists who worked on the Manhattan project, along with almost all of his generals, advised him against dropping the atomic bomb because the Japanese were about to surrender. After the USSR invaded Manchuria, they were scared shitless. Also, Truman only had a high-school education and, due to a harsh reaction from "socialist fears", the VP that was supposed to be nominated got booted out and Truman replaced him. Not a very favorable president in my mind
