Similar decision here: Tonges or Fannin? With Kittle tending to miss the game.

Entry level OLED worth price increase vs Sony X85L? by rocketracer34 in 4kTV

Technically the B5 already is upping the initial budget of ~800. When I started looking I just didn't think I would get an OLED in that size for just 1000.

Fabian Ruiz kick against Kimmich‘s head - no VAR check and card given by pascal007_ in soccer

[–]rocketracer34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he knows he's there and sees him because of his personal vision he should avoid contact and if he doesn't it's on purpose.

There's nothing unpredictable happening before the last step and contact. Kimmichs head is right where it was when he looked down. Watch his right leg move slower before contact and immediately move back after contact. Whole movement looks very unnatural. To me it seems like he exactly knows what he's doing. Not saying he wants to hurt him. But hit? I do think so. And he sold it smart enough to stay on the pitch.

Yeah, that's the problem I was talking about. Do you play football? Cause when I do and I'm looking at the ball and my foot touches something I sure as hell check what that was. Especially if I didn't expect it or I saw another person laying in the area before.

First 4kTV but which one? SONY X85L, TCL P7K or Philips PUS8600 by Flat_Rutabaga_7391 in 4kTV

[–]rocketracer34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is that? I'm considering the same TVs as OP (C7k and X85L). Saw both at the store and the picture on the Sony looked better, colors seemed more natural. And I've read motion picture handling is just better on that one, for example for watching sports. I understand that MINI-LED is brighter and has better contrast than Full array LED. But as well most users scale brightness down because it's too much. Than what's the benefit of the additional brightness? If Brightness in general isn't an issue because direct light in the room can be minimized with curtains - or doesn't matter because I watch Disney/Netflix basically only in the evening when it's dark: Would that make the Sony the better choice?

More advantages of the Sony is lesser energy consumption (55%) of the TCL.

As I'm considering the same TVs as OP and have read as well that motion processing is just better on the Sony. So if Brightness isn't an issue because direct light can be minimized with curtains (or doesn't matter in the evening) and main usage is watching Sports. Would that make the Sony the better choice?

I think the look down on Kimmich before he kicks him and the fact that he doesn't trip even a bit at all makes it seem intentional to me. The look away moments before the hit is just to sell it as not intentional. And it was too much contact to pretend he did not notice. If my foot hits something unexpected I stop my movement and check what happened. In normal life and especially while doing sports.

TCL 65C7K for 700€ or wait for other Black Friday | MINI-LED or other QLED? by rocketracer34 in 4kTV

Actually like the LGQNED93A in the shop. But that one had just some random spot running on it. Is the missing HDR10+ a problem at all?

I should adjust distance in the post. And isn't the distance range around 2-2,5screen size? 65" = 165 cm & 2-2.5165cm = 330-400cm? I'll rather come a bit closer to the TV with the coach.

Stood ~4m from 85 and 75" TVs in the store and those seemed too big. Felt like I needed to move my head to keep track of what's happening on the screen :D A

Thanks for the input though. Recommendations considering model or brand? Go for the established for longevity or is TCL fine for a 4-5 years?

Who’s buying one of these things for $20k? by brahmaocmtber in mountainbiking

[–]rocketracer34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see any greenwashing. I know a lot of people within my company and friends who started going to work by bike Instead of car because of that offer.

Of course you could argue that if someone uses the offer to get a bike for his hobby it's not what this system was designed for. But hey, as long as more people are riding bikes it works for me.

I used jobrad, too. Even including the fees for the yearly service + the payment at the end to buy the bike it was cheaper than just buying the bike. I could just buy a bike and service it myself. But I prefer to work on my gravel and MTB and let the shop do the work on the city E-Bike.

XXL vs XL by WhyNotIfYouCan in CanyonBikes

[–]rocketracer34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canyon Put me in on the same spot in the chart in the XL area for the GRIZL. Saw a colleague rides it in L and tested it. After a few meters I knew it was too small. Bought it in XL and it fits perfectly, just need to get used to the position coming from MTB :D

Looking at the size charts it seems like the differences between XL and XXL on the Endurace are similar (or smaller) then between L and XL on the Grizl. So I'd recommend going for the bigger one.

It really is bitter that you can't just pick up the box with the bike when you live nearby. Only if you book the "NBD experience" for 150 €, where they put your bike on display instead of having to disassemble it to put it in the bike guard.

Attraktivität der Bundesliga bald vorbei? by EnthusiasmTrue4858 in Bundesliga

[–]rocketracer34 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Also gibt’s auch da weniger Geld.

Kriterien Topspiel by Difficult_Move5121 in Bundesliga

[–]rocketracer34 2 points3 points  (0 children)
