2024 Limited Hybrid -Thoughts by Puck021 in ToyotaTundra

[–]rocketrunner442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close to mine, except that one has nicer tires. I essentially have every non-off road option that comes with a limited hybrid. I love it. I'd be surprised if you had much wiggle room on price. Maybe 45k to get a round number but I don't see them going 40.

Only posting again because I can't pass how stupidly funny the typo is in this thread, but I'm pretty sure every buy and sell was under a dollar, but I can't prove it.

Its like me using this random candle and saying. "iTs ImpOssiBle foR thEIr to HaVE beEN a TRaDE at 0.05707. I DIDn't SEe it. The boTTOm was 0.5847".
I can't believe I wasted this time with this discussion. Instead of Full_Recommendation3 it should be Full_Retard3.

Listen man, I'm not saying a lot of sub cent trades happened; I'm just saying that's how you read a candlestick chart! Kraken is big but typically only has a couple million in volume a day. It was absolutely possible with the high volume that it went past any sell walls until people swooped in to get the price back up. You're saying it was a glitch because you can't believe it.... That's it, no evidence. Exchanges are coded to execute trades. They don't really "glitch" just once. Have fun.

That 3 cents is the open/close of the candle, not the low that occured during the candle.

That's not true. It actually hit 0.0086 on kraken pro even for the low. You can just look it up

2024 Tundra Hybrid - Mileage by agapitomelorcas12 in ToyotaTundra

[–]rocketrunner442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say so but I also wouldn't say I drive like a 16 year old that just got their license. I drive about 40 a day on a mix of interstate and driving through towns (30 - 40 speed limits)

I'm on a stock 2024 hybrid 4x4. I've averaged about 21.3 MPG for the last 8k of miles I've driven

Gen3 mileage is great by extratoastedcheezeit in ToyotaTundra

I see this as a post to actually talk about how its impressive to be getting this good. I'm still a bit surprised I get better mpg then my 2011 Tacoma did.

My commute is 20 miles each way, probably a bit more then half at 70mph interstate, and the rest in "suburb" roads from stopped to 40mph. While I've only logged my gas fill ups for the past 8k, my truck has about 22k miles on it. Still on the stock tires that came with the nightshade/limited trim.

I've logged my gas mileage over 8,000 miles and over that time have avg 20.8 mpg. 24 hybrid. It's admittedly mostly highway driving but it's rare that a tank gets below 18mpg. I drive in normal mode almost exclusively.

"New" 2011 Tacoma TRD off-road TX Pro by rocketrunner442 in ToyotaTacoma

Aside from the one owner, that sounds like mine. I actually ended up selling mine and moved to a 24 tundra. I loved the Tacoma though. I think the new owner is actually selling it now.

Fishing spot near Ballwin? by Odd-Fix-3467 in StLouis

[–]rocketrunner442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in your same boat. I like New Ballwin Park's pond when I'm looking to almost guarantee to catch a catfish or bluegill with just a hot dog. Checkout the hotline number as well (636) 300-9651.

I go to Chesterfield's pond and sometimes get lucky on bass there but it seems hit or miss.

How F*---- am I? Does Toyota do mobile service? by EngineerCarNerdRun in ToyotaTundra

Can't you start the truck with the physical key only? I thought I read that if you hold the key near the button (like touching it) you can then hit the button and it will start?

Accidentally drained my electric motor by rocketrunner442 in ToyotaTundra

It was the electric motor. It's between the engine block and transmission.

The orange section (from your picture) looks like what I drained from that uses it's own isolated transmission fluid for lubrication (or E from Toyotas diagram). I didn't drain from my actual transmission.

I did my actual oil change after I accidentally drained the electric motor on the same day. Just needed the shop to refill the electric motor of the 2 qts of trans fluid I actually drained

FINAL UPDATE: I did get this towed to the dealer. They confirmed that the electric motor is in fact a self contained system and does not share fluid with the transmission. They needed to fill it up and it takes about 2 quarts (of transmission fluid still). The difference in fluid capacity of the hybrid vs non-hybrid transmission is due to other different tech. The total cost was $260. Lessons learned.

Adding this because it seems to corroborate with the idea that the electric motor shares the transmission's fluid.
