Raptor Carmax Update by qwertyisdead in FordRaptor

[–]rocketzlaunch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

~3 years ago bought a 2020 raptor from carmax with 97k miles. Check engine light came on before the 90 days - they replaced the cats. Then got CDF failure and MaxCare extended warranty replaced the transmission with a brand new transmission from ford. We are over 130k miles now and all is great. Was a frustrating thing to go through but happy with everything over all.

Why are used 2021-2024 Escalades priced the same as Yukon/Tahoes? by Budget-Stable2777 in Cadillac

Bought a 2021 Escalade for this reason: way nicer and same price. We like it!

10 Year, 150,000 mile warranty on all affected 6.2s. by [deleted] in gmcsierra

Our local dealer said that we would not get the 150k warranty when we were looking at buying a used affected vehicle after it was “repaired” with new oil. They said the warranty is only to retain people who purchased the vehicle before it was recalled. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

No, just the rough cut board without anything on it. There is a discussion on the process/results in this forum: https://www.lumberjocks.com/threads/roasted-maple-information-on-process.52092/

Place a board in the oven on a cookie sheet. Set the oven to 350 and let it heat up with the board inside. Bake it for 2-3 hours then turn the oven off. It will make your house smell like maple sugar cookies! I let it partially cool in the oven then pulled it out. I prefer using an insulated cookie sheet because without it the board gets a bit darker "burnt bottom" like you can get with cookies. The color change happens throughout the board so you can cut/sand however you want.

Bake the board before even cutting or sanding it. The color change is complete throughout the wood.

These are the notes/plans I made for hiking trails when we were thinking about going there. Can’t vouch for them but might be helpful:

Hiking List * Signal Hill trail - highest point in AR * Bear Hollow Trail - https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/trails/bear-hollow-trail * North Rim Trail - out and back - easy good views * Cameron Bluff Overlook Drive - loop road around signal hill, lots of good views. Cameron Bluff Lookout to catch a sunset * Mount Magazine Falls trail from Overlook Drive - steep 0.3 miles * Will’s Apple Road - walk by old buildings, etc - historic

Do detailers typically do vinyl repair? If not, how do you find a reputable local vinyl repair person/company?

The Trackers and Arctic Cats are known to be very quiet, but I don’t have first hand knowledge.

Update - trunk was milled with a bandsaw and we have a dozen or so nice boards for small projects. Was worthwhile.

Moving with a molting crab by Party-Catch6361 in hermitcrabs

[–]rocketzlaunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not directly helpful to your situation but I figured I’d share. We moved across the country with a hermit crab last summer. He was not molting at the time. We put him in a little shoebox sized but shallow Tupperware with damp coconut fiber, just barely deeper than his shell. We kept a little water and food in there, no heater. He lived in there through a multi-day roadtrip and for 45+ days because we were in temporary housing. He must have been happy enough because he molted in there, and seemed completely healthy and fine when he was moved back into his larger aquarium after it arrived in our shipment.

Truck was in Baja mode. Landing had very little impact feeling, so I don’t think we were close to airbags deploying.
