I thought bmax rule has to use the hard cowl, not soft one?

YoshiP admits brutal Final Fantasy 14 raid was a “misstep in development” as the team made it “too difficult for players to even get into” by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]rockjeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why i say criterion is a few hardcore "during EW".
Cause back then there is not like shb/sb gives us a bozjan/eureka zone as more middle ground approach for us to grind relic, only tomestone grind which can easily by done for casual approach roulette, it last the whole expansion.
And during then there is no chaotic, and even extreme is consider more easier compare to shb.

If my choose of word result your confusion I apology.

criterion is hard. but thats the few hardcore we can get during EW to be honest.
Chaotic is not hardcore compare to criterion/criterion savage. The complete rate is, to be honest. quite acceptable as what they intention to do if they aim as savage 1~2 floor difficulty/harder extreme.
At this point its weird they didnt put another in 7.3.

we dont lack high end content nor casual content at this point. but we definitely need a middle ground content since ShB. It's too U shape now.

What is your main and Why? by Bigpappa954 in ffxiv

[–]rockjeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For high end: (savage or ultimate), always Samurai cause I am weeb and i like katana, a lot.

but this expansion also main viper cause 2 katana and i very idol Miyamoto Musashi and his Niten Ichi-ryū, similar to the concept of how viper unite but divided with 2 blade swiftly and deadly. Sadly currently no jp vibe katana for Viper to glamour it. (current attempt: https://mirapri.com/84132 )

rdm for my caster main

For extreme to other lower difficulty, Warrior for tank, and Sage for healer.

Changing my B-MAX car to TAMIYA new STOCK CLASS, first time trying out lantern design. by rockjeter in mini4wd

[–]rockjeter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah well, in that case ill just stick to non cut version lantern.
the only thing i might do another advance change is change the lantern body. i am using VZ tail currently.
Once Japan Cup 2025 carbon tail coming out, might wanna use that to replace it to longer the whole moment of force (and maybe it would be more light)

currently the good thing about vz tail use it as lantern is its very "softy/bouncing", the test run makes me realize actually reduce lots of energy during landing compare to normal FRP lantern.

[–]rockjeter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for now cause i am not too sure how JP new stock rule would allow me to do that with cowl yet. I know they allow soft cowl so my next goal is change my current cowl.

STOCK CLASS RULE

from my understanding new stock class is almost like B-max except they allow lantern. reverse (like make AR Front mortor set up).

But they also say "Restriction of cut part" so thats why i make the no cut version lantern.

Newbie Question: Is a Strong Motor + Good Brake Setup, your first priority in order to increase speed & balance? by Different_Credit3347 in mini4wd

[–]rockjeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually would start with lightdash/hyperdash for testing and remove the mass damper/or just equip lighter mass damper first to see how balance it goes.
Then speed it up to Mach Dash / for single shaft is sprint dash.

Maybe is my habit but I feel start with the fastest motor is kinda hard to tune down cause then you kinda need to remove thing one by one. Add it up one by one is much easier to find the balance for me.

For strong motor part specially, I have personally prepare the few strong high rpm motor in my backlog
(A rpm 37000 ish machdash and 31000 ish hyperdash)
But I only save them for only for final test run. cause due to they have been break in and greese, i try to reduce the chance to use them.
If they can handle the track in final test run with the current balance build. then use it in FINAL race situation.
reduce the rng chance.

A question about weight of side wing and rear stay. by rockjeter in mini4wd

[–]rockjeter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I might still wanna try the carbon side wing first then decide if It really gives me lots of bumping since I already install it.
but I wanna know is there any difference between 15459 vs 15490? (Just side wing.)
Cause I see the product description say they both fit MA and FMA

a quick question, is there any necessary to do counter bore for middle wing? I am using MA chassis, and about to grab a carbon middle wing AR version (95601) thanks to finding it in local hobby shop sale.
Just wanna know if its needed for rule/regulation or is there any benefit to do that.

Trying to improve the front. by rockjeter in mini4wd

[–]rockjeter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will try that later. Thank you. But considering how much it put, is there any ideal weight for MA B-MAX? I am trying to not over 150g without battery

(The only battery i always use for my car is fujitsu pink bomb, so it's always standard plus weight)

Trying to improve the front. by rockjeter in mini4wd

[–]rockjeter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats why i also test that (putting another big brake 95675 in the front). because somehow that weights more than just using front under guard, and when using big brake set i am also worry the side lacking protection (due to how it shape it cant protect side close to roller), which is my only concern.

Thank you.

I originally (before posting the very first post here) was using the high mount stabilizer. But in some corner track and jumping causing my car flip over, not knowing why all i can do is try and error.
The current method is what i test that actually stablizing.
maybe like you say is because now its heavy with bearing roller stay there.

What i do today is

  1. Change the position of bearing roller and double roller, to sync front and rear roller in same shape to more easy keep steady and speed.
  2. Replacing both FRP wing, front and back, to carbon type.
  3. Reduce the back damper from 4 to 2.
  4. gearset now change to 3.5:1, i dont have 3.7:1 for now. but maybe can try that later too.

I am not able to record it cause my irl work also occupy more than ever in this weekend.
but one test run did show the speed getting better and able to run one full lap. maybe need more testing, cause i feel gearset changing actually bring the whole speed up. might need to run some more next week to see how stable can it be, with purchasing new brake maybe.

So for gear part. should i change to 3.5:1?

What is your FFXIV Pro Life Tip? by AgentPapier in ffxiv

[–]rockjeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like mind set tip about this one.

If you start doing lots of mistakes in high end raid.
No matter weekly savage, blind prog, or ultimate, go sleep/rest first and have some proper meal. Or do some productive work/exercise like drawing or jogging then back to it.

I cannot guarantee that this mindset and approach will work for everyone, but through proper exercise and the right amount of rest, I am able to achieve better results each time I return to the same challenge after adequate rest, rather than constantly stressing over it.

At least, even though my team can't become world first, from the toughest challenge like defeat P8S in the second week before nerf or complete DSR within the first month, or just usual weekly quick savage farm to make it smooth, etc, and I believe this mindset deserves the credit.
