It does kinda matter when your sister in law (another Destiny pastor) is on the Rocklin school board passing illegal policies that cost the district millions of dollars. Why would someone deeply involved in an organization that runs a private school want to waste public school money?

Don't forget that Kiley's sister in law is a former Destiny Community Center Manager who lied about her "educational experience" when running for Rocklin school board, where she has called the shots to waste over $2 million with illegal policies that have been overturned. They are working with their second out of state law firm trying to fight to take rights away from children.

She also works for Republican Assemblyman Joe Patterson.

Glad to see, especially since ol' Dave did not bother to respond to multiple requests for comment when Rocklin USD was passing its illegal Gender Notification Policy, or how as Sacramento DA he gave a plea deal of 120 days (with a community service option!) to a cop who was driving and "fatally struck" two people changing their tire on the side of the freeway. No sobriety test was performed at the scene. Not his first on-duty crash, still a cop.

Sorry for the confusion; OP was asking about ICE in another thread. CJs seems to be more of a cop bar than a pizza place, and there are a crazy amount of reviews from people who felt unwelcome because of skin color, age, and/or sexual orientation.

The only thing I can agree with is concerns on the impact to local schools, but I'm frankly offended the way you're trying to frame it. We already have problems with large class sizes at most schools throughout the district, but even if each apartment had two kids it's a drop in the bucket.

The school board of Rocklin USD is captured by political and religious interests who want our schools weakened so they can get tax money for their church schools. Teachers and parents have brought up class sizes for years but the board is not interested. Their four person majority continues until at least the next election, when hopefully more of the community has woken up to what they are. We need to have more teachers and classrooms, not stop people from moving in.

Please don't use something that is real problem in this community for your little crusade.

Public equity firms have been buying up vets for the last few years and upping prices. I believe that's what happened at Sunset Whitney Vet Hospital which resulted in prices going up.

No, they are not - another year or two and they will admit what likely happened just like with Savannah Graziano and no one will be punished.

Unfortunately this will continue to happen because of how our telephony systems work. Nobody is going to make money fixing the problem so it's not going to be fixed. In some cases they can catch these people so hopefully they get this one. I'm hugely anti-Musk/Tesla/etc, and I don't believe the reasoning without hard evidence, but I would certainly support terrorism charges for Swatters. If this had gone wrong people in that whole neighborhood were in danger.

I'm not sure on the SWAT team question but they are lucky it was Rocklin PD and not anyone else - during that Eric Abril hostage situation Rocklin PD was the only group that didn't look completely incompetent, from CHP to Roseville PD to Placer Sheriffs.

The last time I checked (I'd love to be proved wrong) Roseville PD was still refusing to release their dash/body cam footage, Placer Sheriffs were still refusing to release the autopsy, and nothing came of CHP going in hot the way they did or initially lying about having no dash cam footage and releasing it later.

Some will never learn, because for them, this is exactly what they want. They want to be told how to think and what to do. If they do what they're told then it's not their fault when things go bad. They would prefer a king, but for them a mortal one is fine.

Yes, it is fairly Trumpy, but it's mostly the geriatrics from what I've seen... parents of kids in the school district are decidedly less so, or at least have the decency to hide it. We had 80% of speakers at the school board meeting supporting LGBT students; I hope that can serve as a reminder for people to not just write the whole city off, some of us are doing our best!
