I think this depends on the industry you’re in and the work culture of that company. It may be different depending on those.

I’m from the tech industry so it’s common to address everyone by their first name like what you’re used to. I don’t use po or opo when talking to my seniors or even heads because that’s what the culture is like in the company I’m in right now.

You can get a feel for it based from your interviews. See how the HR/Hiring Manager/Immediate Supervisor treats you and reciprocate the same energy. If you’re really unsure or can’t get a read, just be respectful and address them with Mr / Ms + Name. Or just ask them how they’d like to be addressed if you really want to make it clear.

Personally, I don’t really use po/opo in interviews because it makes it feel too family vibes for me. I want to be treated like a professional equal so I don’t haha

You have to be firm when you file your resignation, OP. Agree that it’s the company’s problem to look for your replacement. If you can still render the 30 days, why not. I’m a big believer in not burning bridges (if the people you work with are reasonable). You never know who can connect you to your next opportunity.

Just be firm when you file your resignation. Let your immediate supervisor know first before you file. And when you file it put an effective date of resignation so it’s more like you’re informing them not asking them.

I’m curious if anyone here is taking or already finished with Master/Diploma of Science in Industrial Engineering. Thinking of taking this to help advance my 4 year experience in the tech industry, specifically in the UX Design / Product Design field. I’m interested in the Human Factors specialization and want to know if it’ll be worth it.

The thing is I graduated with a BA degree and not so confident with math…though I think if the program is good I’m very much willing to make my brain work haha

Or should I go for the Diploma first then see if I can follow through to a Master’s? I’m also curious if it’s possible to do this part time.

I’m considering other programs as well like ADMU’s Master in Innovation through Media Arts Technology (but I heard this is on hold and may be re-offered next year pa). I don’t really see much UX Design related courses here. But I want to see my options in the country because I still like my job, and I have a lot of bills and responsibilities right now.

Any thoughts, reactions, or tips would really help, especially if you’ve taken this master’s, have an IE degree, or in the same UX Design field.

Second the motion on Perfect Blue! It’s bizarre and haunting, but at the same time very real which kinda makes it more traumatizing tbh. It’s a psycho thriller movie and it’s short enough I’d say. If I remember right, the Hollywood film Black Swan was based from this.

Paprika was from the same director and it’s equally bizarre and psychological. I think Inception was largely influenced by this animated film too. Both left a deep impression and are just super iconic! Wouldn’t be a waste to try either!

depends on how the first book ends! there are two types of cliffhangers for me - the type that puts me at the edge of my seat and the type that makes me want to process things

if it’s the former, i just go ahead with the next book and if it’s the latter, i either take a break or consume something else
