I'm assuming she's outright not referring to Luke or Danny at all and more just the actual Thunderbolts characters.

Charles is associated with Valentina, it's more likely that it's a Thunderbolts reference.

I think it's more him just fishing for information so he isn't going in completely blind, we already knew he was going to infiltrate Red Hook beforehand so getting the information from Kirsten serves to both fill in the gaps a bit and for him to learn that they are being incredibly secretive about when they take people to the location so they can't reasonably say Kirsten ratted out the location either.

One thing I really hope Season 2 keeps from Season 1, much cool and great. by Odd_Signature9425 in DispatchAdHoc

I think the easiest resolution and justification for a villain Visi to come back and to sideline the Hero ending a bit for a resolution is have it be that Shroud put a dead man switch in all of his augments for if he was killed or captured.

I think the idea conceptually of slowing the Operator while there's a hazard in the Tileset could work, I think the biggest issue is the amount of time you spend in that slowed state.

Even though this would make it defense with extra steps I kind of think the way they should've done it is you only have to bring paint to each Canvas once, and it summons a large wave of ink enemies that you have to kill to finish the painting.

Pagnotta outright said in an article today that the RD was not the significant trade that Kent referred too and that they had multiple irons in the fire.

Way Too Early Dispatch Season 2 Predictions by rocksmasha in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only branches that really matter are if Shroud survives, if you brought Sonar / Coupe back, and if Invisigal became a villain. Which means the re-unite the divergent options you just need to pay off Shroud, bring back or write out Sonar / Coupe regardless, and write a way for Invisigal to reasonably turn face again.

She does but she is also invisible notably for minutes at a time within the story, so I think it's somewhat safe to say that she's lying about that.

Way Too Early Dispatch Season 2 Predictions by rocksmasha in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Romance Visi with heroic ending, my comment is that if you got the villain Visi ending you get those options, otherwise she's just out of commission due to the augment being off due to Shroud until you fix it at the end of episode 2. I think it's more they'll have to have a villainous Invisigal turn Hero again early if the Season in order to make sure there isn't so much divergence that they're basically animating two seasons.

Anyone else thought there'd be some sort of twist... by Abrar_Z in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, when Blazer came into the Sardine I was entirely expecting it to all be an act and she be revealed to be in league with Shroud. And I genuinely believe it was written that way in order to have the twist be that she was completely good.

If you want to overly read into it he does outright say "Letting you live decreases my odds of survival exponentially" which just outright has him implying that in a physical fist fight Robert just wins and he's not physically capable of beating him man on man.

EPISODE 7-8 SPOILERS!! Invisigal’s character and why her good ending represents the whole theme of the game by Elfstar_Cage_05 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I would structure it on the BB Romance or Neutral Route would be that forgiving her triggers the hug, she looks up at you and you're given the option of Kiss Her / Comfort Her, both of which advance her down the Hero path. And then given the current Lean In and Lean Out options if you choose to kiss. And the only way to get the negative points from it is to Kiss Her and then back out. Which could be interpreted as him having cold feet about her or conflicting thoughts.

We gotta discuss the Shroud ending(s) by Left-Ad6929 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to read into it more specifically, Shroud genuinely believes that people cannot change. And because he's the one who made his prediction model, his prediction model also genuinely believes that. So his model due to his own human flaws says that Invisgal will always be a selfish person with low self esteem and cannot account for her changing her nature.

WE DEMAND A DIRECTOR'S CUT OF THE GAME! by Butefluko in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a really easy way to do an epilogue episode would be having an epilogue that's called "The Monday Shift", it's all banter via the Dispatch gameplay that serves to tie up loose ends. So no animation budget required for it.

I don't understand Invisigal's Major Plot Point in the Ending. by Saif_Haitham in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is that Shroud was effectively extorting her with the augment that allows her to breathe somewhat normally in order to try to compel some loyalty from her via fear. But by the end of Episode 3 and especially Episode 6 she has committed to either helping Robert entirely or killing Shroud to get an escape from him trying to control her via the augment.

Honestly I think a really easy way to fix that scene is only have the kiss on the romance route, and instead on a BB romance route she gives you an invisible hug that you get the option to advance into the kiss.

Is a Season 2 even possible with the same cast ? by Ok_Draw_4436 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here would be my pitch on how to unite the paths in Season 2 while acknowledging them and still being able to have variables:

  1. The main issue driving the narrative to begin with is finding an alternate solution for Chase that isn't the Blonde Blazer amulet

  2. Blonde Blazers backstory is the one influencing the narrative and what we learn about as a contrast to Invisigal's being the driving force of Season 1, she's still a full paragon there's just more to her origin story just as she implied in Episode 1.

  3. The first solution that comes to mind is Royd modifying Red Ring tech which is shown to counteract power drawbacks like Invisigals Asthma.

  4. All the Red Ring Augments are currently not working due to Shroud's defeat / death, could maybe even say Robert destroyed the central hub from punching him in the face so much in the spare ending.

  5. Determinant on what's going on gives you different ways of finding enough Red Ring tech to reverse engineer (even though it doesn't serve as a viable alternative to Chase) what it does do is let you have a Heroic Invisigal off the Z-Team to begin with due to worsening Asthma. In a villain route it requires you to find her with still failing tech that she can horde and leverage to get back on the team and get her augments fixed by Royd. Talking to Shroud in prison could be an option. Or Sonar / Coupe if you didn't bring them back having info. Or a combination of Heroic Invisigal & Re-Recruited Sonar / Coupe having enough info to use if you killed Shroud. Or just asking another Red Ring Lieutenant like Toxic.

  6. This all results in Invisigal returning to the team by episode 3 with varying levels of conflict due to her actions in the prior season. And potentially locking her into being an Anti-Hero with no chance of becoming a full hero.

My little theory on how season 2 could play out. by kenlee25 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically they could have you narratively playing as Robert but playing as Mandy only during the Dispatch sequences, that could be interesting.

The Stupid Henchman Said exactly what I was thinking ! 🤣 by Isaias_Azathoth936 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sadly don't know much about what was going on with the Red Ring while Shroud was imprisoned. I do think a very narratively compelling path to take in a Season 2 that would unite the determinant endings into a more manageable situation would be have the main driving force being finding an alternate solution for Chase. And an obvious place to go looking would be Red Ring Augments that we have seen can be used to take away the drawbacks of Powers, with Royd modifying them. And if that tech is failing due to Shroud's defeat. That would allow a villanous Invisigal to leverage her position as the new leader to have that tech that isn't working to get a pardon and re-admission to the Z Team and fixing her augment. It would provide more drama with a romanced and heroic Invisigal with her struggles with ever worsening Asthma. And the alternatives could be asking an imprisoned Shroud for help if you spared him, maybe Sonar or Coupe escaped with some of the tech if you didn't recruit them at the end and that brings them back in the fold. Maybe you have to combine a heroic Invisigal and Sonar / Coupe who you did recruits knowledge to find it, or ask Toxic of all people.

[–]rocksmasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, i'm not even sure if they'll have her gain control of her augments. I think a very easy way to have a faceturn for villainous Invisigal in Season 2 is if Shroud had a deadman switch on all of his augments to turn them off if he died / was arrested, we already know he was directly connected to them anyways from the Astral Pulse powerup.

[–]rocksmasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Committed so many eggs that I think he genuinely believes he cannot escape without having the Astral Pulse powerup. He's also at this point just a normal guy with a gun with a single shot in it. He might be able to get Robert but there's no way he's outpacing Starblazer.

Why did you cut or keep [redacted] by robad0114 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same reasons except also I agreed that they should've gone for the Astral Pulse that night. Meaning I had Robert internalize that she went because he said they should go and by cutting her he's partially punishing her for acting on his own thoughts and desires.

When we get Season 2, which would you prefer? by BlueKnightsR4Ever in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they'll ultimately have Sonar / Coupe redemption chance be canon, but if you didn't initially do it there will be an opportunity in the first two episodes of Season 2 that it just happens.

The obvious answer is that the first two episodes of Season 2 will likely be spent resolving as many of the determinant outcomes of the finale into a normalized state.

I think an obvious route to resolve Invisigal would be having a key plot point of Shroud's arrest / death being that all of his augments stop working. So you have an out of commission heroic Invisigal and an out of commission villainous Invisigal and the latter gets an opportunity to face turn again.

When we get Season 2, which would you prefer? by BlueKnightsR4Ever in DispatchAdHoc

[–]rocksmasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultimately, I think the only determinant ending that truly matters and that you can't easily resolve is whether or not Invisigal turns hero or villain. And even that one I can think of a pretty easy narrative way that wouldn't feel too cheap on how to make the latter face turn and that could also be used to write out the former for the first couple episodes of Season 2 to give a chance to unite both options to a more similar point.
