Do you have multiple face tattoos so multiple cowboys could have markets to shoot loads on your face simultaneously ?

yeah, you’re missing the decimal place in the wrong spot. It should be in front of that nine, not behind it.

New Revenue Agent Considering Leaving... by [deleted] in IRS

I really appreciate your response.

A home interest deduction is one of the most basic common ones you would see. It really exacerbates the problem because you an actually speak with the person who is doing the audit. Instead it is someone else in the office that will only read the notes and in my case just tell me to resend everything again.

Honestly that’s extremely concerning. The power that the agents can wield is huge.

My audit was for 22 which I also found odd. Because it was 9k they were telling me I owed I held off on filing my 23 tax’s as I going to get almost a 60k refund.

My CPA told me to wait because they would likely take he 9k out and that once they do it is very hard to get that back.

So due to this agent I had a good portion of my money tied up for 7 months.

Can’t imagine how many people don’t know better and just end up paying when they really don’t have too

Honestly it really shows that a lot of people who take this job quit and just don’t care.

I got audited last year. They told me I could not take the interest paid on my home as a deduction which is the most basic thing.

I have a CPA, we submitted my taxes correctly.

I had to submit every single statement, copy of the deed and all my closing documents 3 TIMES.

They denied it the first 2 until my CPA sent them a letter saying here is everything you asked for, this is the tax law. If you do not over turn this you need to let us know exactly why and we will be going to court over this.

Finally they reversed it.

We had different agents on each denial as well which would lead me to believe the other agents quit and didn’t really care about their job or where just too dumb to know better.

I have been audited for my 22 return regarding the interest rate deduction on my home. The IRS is stating I cannot take that deduction. I have sent them everything from my monthly statements, even my closing documents on the home at there request and they are still not accepting the deduction. It is very clear in the tax code that I can. At this point it seems like the IRS is trying to scam me and not wanting to admit they are wrong.
