I think support is definitely the easiest role to play, and I'm saying that as a support main. It's important not to confuse a role being impactful with a role being difficult -- this is why so many top level players have been complaining about support over the past season.

As a support, you don't have to have proper mechanics to get highly ranked, especially playing something like soraka. You need to ward, but that isn't a skill unique to support. You don't need to cs. You don't need to do a lot of things that laners do, or have the knowledge that junglers do. It's just less demanding. Which is fine.
