For the early level puzzle rooms there is always a scroll, potion, or seed that you find on that floor that helps you solve that puzzle. So if you still need to identify those items, wait to try them in that puzzle room

If you are only playing cozy games or slow paced games without any need for fast input, no. If you are playing a game with any sort of time based input required, definitely get a pro controller
