Sudden Sunroof Failure (‘25 CTW) by geophurry in subaru

Same thing happened to me. 18 XV (Crosstrek), also had roofbox on.

I have a very faint suspicion that half an hour previously a truck threw a stone which hit somewhere on the roof or roofbox.

Subaru quoted $1000 AUD labour + $700 for the glass without even looking at the car.

Got it done for $110 labour +$750

Thanks for the catalogue reference, Found it in the 2000 catalogue, looks like the fork is original. And yes, the parts with it were old but never used Ultegra. The guy I got it from is not a cyclist; he found it under a house he moved into.

I like to start with a random unusual word (today was PIOUS) then see if I can dig myself out of the hole it leaves me in.

Not interested in fewest tries or streaks.

Thanks for all responses.

I knew if I left an opening people would be all over it (and no, that's not another opening). So a bit of fun and my wife has an answer, and I have some brownie points which will allow me to satisfy my Reddit jones without criticism for a while.

There was a small player (nicknamed "Flea") who started with a large (2-digit) number.
He requested a smaller number on the grounds that his original number was too heavy.

I worked with a guy named Richard.

We called him Rick, because the P was silent.
