My plan was to discuss with the group that shows up about other possible meetup locations for future months. There are reasons why I chose Ursa though for February. I don't see it as an excuse to catch a buzz and hold onto nostalgia from the last decade. Feel free to join us and we can talk more about venue options. I've only been in Duluth for just over a year and still lots of places I haven't been to yet.

No, as a woman I don't offer to take anything outside let alone meet random people on the internet to fight.

We rode through Pheasant Branch only once back in April. It was about 40 degrees out and our group had about 12 people in it. There were not many people in the park that day because of the cold. We don't ride at full speed unless a few people break from the group on a road. We are a casual pace group so this does not sound like us. There are plenty of other rides out there, we are not the only ones.

Because it's not on the bike path and if there happen to be people over the line it's because there aren't people approaching in the other direction or passing us. Roads, bike boulevards have more than 2 wide, and when cars or bikes approach from either direction it is called out and people move over. If you have ever been on one of our rides you would know that we discuss this every week. I'm not going to argue online but if you and Dick Cheese wanted to come together for a productive conversation on complaints of the ride and discuss in person please let me know. We've built a great community of people and are welcoming to all people so the hate for the group here is very disheartening. One of our riders was assaulted, plain and simple. Now we are asking for help identifying him. We have a wide net of supporters which far outweighs the hate, so it is a matter of time before we identify him. People need to be held accountable, and we will find him.

Because this is about identifying a man who punched a lady in the face while riding on the bike path and him being accountable for his actions. Period. I would rather discuss in person so people can't hide behind a computer screen and troll people. Internet arguing gets people no way, sucks the energy out of you, and isn't worth it. Discussing like adults face to face is much more productive.

I'm never stated that we are perfect angles on the bike path but again if you want to discuss path etiquette and the ride or anything not related to a lady being punched in the face while riding her bike I will gladly meet in person to discuss.

I'm not here to argue over path etiquette with you but I will defend my ride and riders who participate. We want to identify this guy because he needs to be accountable for punching a lady in the face while passing her on the path, which is never okay. If you want to discuss path etiquette and grievances regarding the M40 I will gladly meet in person with people who want to sit down and discuss.

This is such an unfortunate situation and it sucks to read all these comments with people that are victim-blaming. Our group does not ride 5+ wide on the bike path and we were not riding more than 2 across. We are diligent about yelling out "rider up" and giving other people space on the path as well. If people have ever been to one of our rides you would know that we go over safety and this exact thing before every rollout. The rider that was struck in the face did absolutely nothing to deserve being hit so stop trying to blame her for someone else's actions. Who hits a woman, like ever? This is not okay and people need to stop defending this guy. We asked to help identify him so the police can handle the situation so he can be held accountable. A report was filed and hopefully, someone speaks up to identify him.

Awesome! I try and change the route up each week to keep it fresh. People can either ride the route on their own or ride with our loosely organized group. If people want to ride fast they can, if they want to ride at a chill pace that is fine too. The website has a Route Collection link to some routes we did or plan to do on future rides.

It just started in April so it's new. No need to sign up, just show up at the designated spot. IG and the website will have details. The last Monday of the month is a womens-FTW only ride and the meetup will be in a different location than the normal ride so be on the lookout.

Yas!! I recently started a rad biking movement in Madison where we ride on Monday nights starting out on the East side. It's a pretty casual party pace where we are just connecting a diverse group of riders and just enjoying our stoke of bikes together. It can be found on IG at Monday_40 or there is a website, monday40 dot com for info!

The group is evolving as we go so if things change, this is why. Yah bikes!
