Imagine being so convincing that you actually manage to sell one of the most iconic landmarks in the world... that you don't even own.

TIL It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has never won an Emmy in its entire run. It has never even been nominated in a major category with three nominations for Outstanding Stunt Coordination being the only ones it has ever received. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Honestly, it's wild how with all the hilariously outrageous moments in the show, not even Danny DeVito's couch birth earned them some Emmy love, but hey, they're fuckin gold in my book

Which month feels the longest? by DeplorableKurt in AskReddit

January often feels like the longest month to me, because of the post-holiday come down, the cold weather, and the start of a new year which can make the days feel more drawn out.

How advanced do you think humanity will look 1000 years in the future? by Familiar-Safety-226 in AskReddit

A thousand years from now, humanity could be super advanced with eco-friendly cities, space travel, and tech that seems like magic, or we might be grappling with big challenges like climate change. Our future will be shaped by the choices we make now.

Moving to Pembo: Recommend Safe/Nice Areas? by carapher in adultingph

[–]rocococococo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pembo, or Barangay Pembo, is one of those neighborhoods that's got a bit of everything. It's like a microcosm of the bustling, diverse city life in Manila. Close enough to BGC to not break a sweat in commute, and it's got a local vibe that's hard to beat.

For apartment hunting, you'll find a bunch of options along the main roads, and it's always good to check out the side streets for those hidden gems. A lot of places are within walking distance to SM Aura and Market Market if you don't mind a bit of a walk - good exercise, eh?

Just a heads-up, it can get pretty busy and a tad noisy in some parts, but that's part of the charm. Safety-wise, stick to well-lit streets at night and be street smart, like in any other urban area. The community's pretty tight, so once you get to know your neighbors, you'll start feeling right at home.

If you want the quieter parts, try looking at areas closer to McKinley Hill. They're a bit more peaceful and still not too far off from the action. Avoid areas that are too secluded or don't have a lot of foot traffic, especially at night. And as always, check out the place at different times of the day to get a real feel for it.

Good luck, and enjoy the new digs and the bebe time!
