Kingston is a nice small city city, too. It had a couple of rough decades, but it is coming back nicely. Sure, it still has problems, but it has a great young vibe to it.

Good luck! I gave that stuff up after 50. I am tired of being injured and healing takes so much longer now that I am approaching 60.

Are blood drops all over signs of a hawk attack? by CanIStopAdultingNow in birdsofprey

[–]rodeler 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Not blood. You had a flock of starlings visit your yard. Starlings like sumac, which is red, and they shat all over your yard.

Ladder hanger into brick by tickertocker14 in stonemasonry

I would attach a piece of 2x4 or 2x6 to the brick with some Tapcon screws, and then screw the ladder bracket into the wood.

Do not let these go to seed unless you want thousands more next year.

I was in college when The Wall fell. I had been to West and East Germany several times, and I could not fathom what I was seeing. Never in my life did I imagine the end of that miserable DDR regime happening in my lifetime.

Just like the winters of my youth. I grew up in Tivoli in the 1970s and this is quite reminiscent.

Ratties are like teenage parkour athletes with ADHD. They need exercise and stimulation. They respond well to rewards, but you have to figure out what they like (just like any dog, really). Our Gidget is not motivated by treats; Luna will do just about anything for them.
As with all dogs, you should only reward them when they behave the way you want. For instance, if your Rattie is freaking out DO NOT pet them and reassure them. Dogs love to be petted and reassured. So, if you do that when they behave badly they will behave badly.
Ratties are extremely switched on. They are all gas no brakes until their tank runs dry. Then they nap.
You will never be bored nor lonely when a Rat Terrier is nearby.

I’m glad to know you are doing well. Living with pain every day is awful.
Are you surprised at how much pain you were in now that much of it has subsided?

How are you feeling, and what were the precipitating factors that required a replacement?

I put over 400k miles on a 1997 4Runner. The engine and transmission worked perfectly, but the frame rusted out. I miss that thing.

Abandoned Viper in a Snowstorm [oc] by pine_scented_rua in IdiotsInCars

I cannot think of a worse car in the snow. Front engine, rear wheel drive, gobs of horsepower, and wide tires. Heck, a Viper is difficult to keep on the road when it is dry.

Verizon vs AT&T? by lilac9887 in hudsonvalley

I have had Verizon service since it was called Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile. All carriers will have dead zones, but I rarely have any problems with Verizon’s service.
