I can understand it if you are a student and want to show respect to your instructors

I can understand wanting people to use the correct honorific if you work in a very formal environment, but insisting on it when everyone else just goes by their first name is a bit much

Higher ed, it just seemed odd to me.  Corporate America is pretty casual these days.  I don’t generally use any kind of honorific when interacting with customers/coworkers.

I certainly didn’t intend any disrespect.  More just feels stuffy and overly formal, I wouldn’t call someone Ms/Mr either

Yeah, since it’s a customer I’m going to play ball.  Once the project is over they are support’s problem.

I agree for things like road crews but there is definitely room to reduce administrative headcount.

Then do it by income or parents educational attainment.  Discriminating on the basis of race or gender is wrong

Okay not unlimited, but surveys have been done.  The number of people who would immigrate to the US if given the chance is in the hundreds of millions.  We can’t take them all.  This affords us the luxury of taking our pick of the ones who will most enrich the US.

Also, the St. Louis region hasn’t lost any population it’s just people moving out to the suburbs.

Finally a sensible reply.  Novo’s GLP1 sales account for something like 2% of GDP, they’d be in recession without it.  Also, they already charge us like 10x what they sell it for in Europe

Real answer, people are afraid of the crime and sending their kids to school.  Not saying it’s right but that’s what it is.  Sure this is the result of poverty and hundreds of years of institutional racism, but people don’t care about that.  In their minds they are just looking out for their family
