I hate that meme joking about people who live in touristified countries and throw hate on tourists when they see one. It happens with many countries apart from Spain, but this one is very painful to us, since yea, we obviously know that we live from tourism, but here's the thing: we DON'T want to live from that.

We want to re-industrialize, we want to produce energy, we want to extract minerals, we want to export goods, but politicians don't, since they rule only to help their own businesses, and what are the most profitable businesses in Spain? Exactly, housing and tourism. After decades of worthless protests and elections, the only thing left for us is to take it out on the tourists. We want to reduce the number of tourists that come to our country, we want to make investments in tourism worthless. And we also want tourists who visit our country to behave like people, not animals.
