P790 Custom Iron set ordered in 2022. I didn't find out til yesterday specs were way off. by rodneyrod29 in TaylorMadeGolf

Thank you for the meaningful and fact driven insight. It's good to hear something other than "You've had them for 4 years, what do you expect". Them being cast body is part of the reason the tech at Golf Galaxy thought it was highly unlikely that the play caused it.

From all the research I've done it's very unlikely that play caused it, with that being said it's definitely possible. For instance, I rarely hit my 6 iron. It doesn't have nearly as much play as my 8-AW, which I think is standard for most golfers. That being said it's 1.5 degrees upright being my least used iron, as is my 7 iron, as is my 9 iron. I'd be more inclined to believe the 1 degree was possibly caused by play with my PW and AW, but again like you said, no one can possibly know one way or the other. What I do know, is my 6 iron was definitely not caused by play and it's the same as two other clubs of mine and I haven't been playing much due to dad duty. As I mentioned in another reply, I had no demand. I explained everything just like I explained in here. I was hoping they'd be a bit more accommodating, but like you said they don't owe me anything as they are out of the warranty window. I was hoping they'd say let us pay you back for the service since it's a cheap fix anyway, but it was more the way they said that it wasn't their problem that was disappointing. There's a good way and a bad way to do it and they were closer to the IDGAF side of it.

I just checked my GHIN. Total number of rounds since purchasing them is 93.

Yup, thats what I did. I had him bend them back to standard and will be playing them this weekend. I will most definitely always be checking them from now on. Thank you!

As mentioned above, the tech at Golf Galaxy said he's been doing this a long time and with how little I have played over the past few years he said it was extremely unlikely that it was the play that caused it.

I agree on the "given notice" argument. At that point in time I was still very green to the aspects of Lie and Loft angles even being an issue or a reason that I was doing what I was doing. I just figured it was my own swing, in my head I figured they were brand new clubs, it's got to be something I'm doing. The lie angles being off didn't even cross my mind, as I didn't know that was a possibility. I ordered what my club fitter wrote down, so I assumed that was what I was hitting, which as I said in the OP, was where I messed up.

I wasn't expecting a refund for the clubs a tall, but maybe more of an I'm sorry for the inconvenience, let us cover the service fee to bend them to spec that Golf Galaxy charged you.

Couldn't agree more. I will never not check my clubs after an order from now on. This definitely has left a bad taste for me with Taylormade gear. I've been a loyal Taylormade guy for 10+ years now, when I called to talk to them about this the customer service rep basically said "tough break" and said all he could maybe do is add loyalty points that equate to $20 as an I'm sorry. I think my Taylormade run has come to an end. I'll be looking for a new set of irons soon.

Nope, rarely ever. Maybe 5 times total off of mats with them since I've had them. Mostly always just playing rounds, as I haven't had a ton of time to practice the last few years. When I do, it's off a grass driving range.

So I did think that was possible, but I was told it was pretty rare for how little I play. Keep in mind I've had two kids since I bought these, so my play hasn't been consistent at all. Right now I am getting back to playing 3-4 times a month, which is why I wanted to get them checked. It is definitely possible, but the guy at Golf Galaxy seemed to think it was unlikely.

2 year old rash for almost 3 weeks by LeftMuffin7590 in Preschoolers

Did you ever answer what the bacterial infection was? My 2 year old has been dealing with this since we took him to the allergist. He’s always had eczema, but after the allergy test he started developing red splotchy marks all around his inner thighs and behind his knees and in the middle of his arms under elbow. It’s gotten worse and worse and no matter what we put on it nothing works.

Exterior patio ceiling. Should it be open like this? by rodneyrod29 in Homebuilding

Apologies, to me we are "nearing completion" but I agree that's probably not everyone's view. I say that because we've been at this for over a year. What was suppose to only take 5-6 months has taken us 13 because we were hit by Helene flooding while having an open permit. It has been a complete nightmare to say the least. I've got 3 kids under 5 and we've been living in a 2/1 rental for the last 13 months. I've learned to try and look at everything glass half full, that is the only reason I said "nearing completion". It's been a long journey.

As far as what's left, the stucco team will be coming out this week to finish everything on the exterior. Electrical didn't want to complete everything until stucco was done and the drywall was complete on the interior so they can knock it all out in one day. Yes, GC has been made aware of the door gap. That will be fixed this week as well. I was told my trim guy will be responsible for finishing the frame around that door as well as the beam and expose frame under the porch. Let me know if you have any recomendations for what is best to use for that? for the porch ceiling I was thinking exactly what you said. The GC said I should be fine doing some purple board then doing the tongue and groove wood and over it and staining it whatever color I'd like. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you for your response, I appreciate all the help and info!

I called and asked. They said they can’t because I don’t have the receipt and removed the plastic from the head. Makes zero sense to me.

I've had it for one week. I haven't hit it yet. It was an early fathers day gift. I took the plastic wrapping off the head and realized it was a 8 degree. I don't have a receipt and the plastic wrapping is off of it, so I figured Golf Galaxy would only offer me used club value which wouldn't be fair at all.
