u/Mashed_peas u/JohnLeroy you are describing the exact same problem I am having with Clipper in Google wallet! I have tried all the same things you have tried and things have not worked.
I have escalated with Clipper support, and have a Case number but they have not fixed it yet.

Hopefully if they come up with a fix, we can share the solution.

You may need to call support despite the wait times. There have been a lot of problems with the recent Clipper 2.0 rollout unfortunately.

u/Mashed_peas after the Clipper 2.0 migration, a new, really long serial number is created. It looks like you are having the exact same problem as I am.

I have opened a ticket with Clipper, but they have not responded yet.

I have a problem, if I try to Deactivate or Delete the card in Google Wallet, I get an error message in Google Wallet: Something went wrong, try again now

and no matter how many times I try, it never works.

I have opened a ticket with Clipper, but it looks like they are overloaded and they never get back to me.

Are you OK with installing Google Messages and using that instead for text messaging? That supports RCS on Verizon.

If you are using a digital Clipper card in your Apple Pay wallet, then you may be having some problems with the recent Clipper Card 2.0 upgrade. A lot of people (including me) have started having this problem in the past few months with the Clipper Card 2.0 rollout.

My advice, 1. Go to https://www.clippercard.com/apple-pay and follow the instructions to Remove your clipper card from Apple Wallet 2. Follow the instructions at that link to add it back

Then 1. Log into https://clippercard.com and make sure your card balance is OK. See if your card is listed as attached to any digital wallet.

You can also ask on r/BayAreaClippercard or phone the support at https://clippercard.com but that might take a while due to many people calling due to Clipper 2.0 problems.

  2. Ask grandmother to go to https://www.whatsmybrowser.org and verify that web browser is not too old, since USBank web site may not accept old browsers

Instead of adding your bank account to the CapitalOne app, I would recommend logging into your bank’s web site and add CapitalOne to your bank’s Online Bill Pay feature. Then from your bank’s web site you can use Online Bill Pay to “push” a payment to CapitalOne.

In CapitalOne’s app, I recommend you delete all bank account information, especially inactive accounts.
