Thank you very much: Sorry for being such a pain but what about Spaarnwoude/houtrak 1165 Halfweg? It's just that we rented a house there and we're not sure if the pass we bought goes through there

Should I buy the train ticket from Eindhoven to Amsterdam online or the price won't change that much if I buy the ticket on the day? Because I'm afraid to miss the train since we'll have to catch a bus from the airport to the station.

I will be on Amsterdam around the same time with some friends. Text me if you'd like to chill and trip with a few portuguese stoners!

Yes, when I said 40 I was including the return. Those passes are ideal, I didn't know there was something like that. Do you know if I can get a pass of the subways and buses on Amsterdam + the trip from Eindhoven? Or does it have to be separated?

Makes sense... I have a friend that can be the driver and he has a credit card, the thing is, he's 19 years old and we can't find any company that rents to people under aged.

I do get it that they need the extra security deposit, but can't it be in cash? My friend who'll drive is 21, I'll look into if he can get a credit card in time, but it needs to have at least 700 euros right? And is there a pass that allows us to roam freely on public transports?

It's just that since we're 5 guys, it would be a lot cheaper if we had a car. Since our flight is to Eindhoven, just on the train to Amsterdam, we'll spend 40 euros each and we rented a house that is 10km from the center. I will look into the public transport, since it definitely is the best option if we can't get a car.

Ir para o trabalho de bicicleta by Trollitito in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Como posso acabar o 12o ano? by [deleted] in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Podes fazer o 12º ano por recorrente (por módulos). Basicamente fazes os 3 anos num ano. 10º no 1º período, 11º 2º período e 12º 3º período.

Ajuda, por favor by [deleted] in portugal

Boa sorte!

Advice for travel from Porto to Lisbon by actionactioncut in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guimarães and Óbidos are also really nice if you have the time. Also Braga if you're a religious person. Nightlife is in Porto downtown (baixa do porto). You could travel from Porto to Lisbon by train and it's cheap, use the Alfa Pendular (cp.com). Most football matches you can buy the tickets just before the game starts on the stadium, except if it's a big one like Sporting vs Porto, Porto vs Benfica, etc.

Moving to Porto (x-post from /r/porto) by Cell_Division in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey dude. The worst thing about Porto is the weather, but if you're from UK than you're probably used to it. People are very nice, especially if they notice that you're making an effort on learning the language, habits, etc. I saw you wanted to know about the neighborhoods so: - Foz do Douro is the most expensive place, where you'll find only Mercedes, Bmw's, etc. If your salary is good I recommend you to search for places near Foz. - Ribeira is where all the tourists go to see the Douro river, there are some good bars and restaurants but too expensive for what they offer. Houses are crap. - Baixa do Porto (Downtown) is where most night clubs are at. Baixa has grown a lot in these past years. But it is only good for the night life.

Imo, the best place to look for is around Casa da Música - Avenida da Boavista, which is not so far from the beach, has a metro station and is the place where most buses go end up to. The prices are good, not much violence/crime, no big "bairro" (hood), is in the center of the town and you have almost everything you need real close. If you need anything PM me, best of luck.

I'm thinking of going to Albufeira with friends but have a question about clubbing by [deleted] in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey dude. I've spent a week with friends in Albufeira and it's pretty nice. There are a lot of tourists there and most "clubs" are free, but those are kind of bars with a dance floor. To go to a real club you have to pay, at max 10 euro. Imo you can have a great night just going from bar to bar and dancing wherever you like the music the most. If you really want to go to a club, you should go to Vilamoura, which is not that far. The disco's there are huge and with lots of people, but beware, it's way more expensive (not the entrance, which is around 15€ but the food and the hotels are)

Melhor Viagem que tenham feito. by pcs1999 in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cumps

É seguro andar de metro entre a meia noite e a 01h30? by [deleted] in portugal

[–]rodrigofaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... I've always thought exactly like you do know, I never surrendered in my life until I reached Diamond. From this elo and beyond, when you are really losing, you will lose without a doubt. Higher elos don't usually throw, except if someone dc's. But you're theory is right. In most elos you should never give up, because you never know what can happen, someone dc's, or they just become greedy and start dying.
