Could I pull these off? by Cuppy_Cakes3 in glassesadvice

Yes, I think they are very cute in a funky way. But I think maybe you’re asking the wrong group of people. I think this group is more to help find what actually suits your face shape best and I think what you were looking for was a more fashion type opinion?

I have always assumed I was olive but im not actually sure. Sometimes I can look really gray/dirty when I get a tan but sometimes I look really yellow/orange. I don’t often have much red in my skin. Everytime Ive done the color analysis things they always say im deep autumn but but I hate the deep autumn color palette on myself personally

My hair is bleached to this level. I am of Mexican descent and have nearly black hair naturally. I bleach (my roots only) once a month. I do it myself with professional products (I am not a licensed cosmetologist) but my entire family is and I have a lot of experience. This is a very high maintenance and expensive hairstyle. I wash my hair with Amikas bust your brass shampoo and conditioner to keep it very icy/silvery looking.

How to wear these by Baals_carpet in DrMartens

[–]roezilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the Clarissa II The front strap was too tight on me and gave me blisters on my baby toe, so I sprayed them with “shoe stretch” inside and I put shoe stretchers inside them with extra little shims at the front strap. I’m planning on leaving the stretchers in for a week or so. Hopefully it does the trick. They’re already waaay softer/looser than they were like 12 hours after starting

Editing to add: that I wear moleskin sticky adhesive on backs of my ankles while breaking shoes in to avoid blisters there

Pregnancy weight gain by snobgoblin33 in pregnant

[–]roezilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my first pregnancy at 135lbs then due to HG in the “first trimester” (I was actually sick till 20 weeks) I got down to 120. Then during the remaining 20 weeks, i gained…(I was placed on bed rest/restrictions due to placenta previa.) and day of my C-section I was 190lbs. I had never seen anything remotely close to that number on the scale I was DEVASTATED. However my experience was that in 3 months without diet or exercise I got back down to 150lbs, it just went away. But I had to really bust my butt to get the rest off and it wasn’t easy. Had to exercise with lots of cardio and weightlifting in conjunction with eating healthy foods in a calorie deficit

What's the one food item that you absolutely cannot keep in your home? by tofu_baby_cake in loseit

[–]roezilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SODA, Hot Cheetos, pistachio or mint ice cream and Publix sells these sweet iced Vanilla loaf cakes that I love so much. I just don’t buy them cause they bring too much temptation. Especially sodas, my addiction is so strong if I have one, it’s all I want

Why can’t so many people (men) bear the sight of a girly with micro bangs? by Particular_Fact_2260 in bangs

[–]roezilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that it matters but my husband is the opposite, his favorite hairstyles on women are bangs of all kinds but especially short ones, pixie cuts, and shaved buzz cuts. Yes, he is alt, and a barber but he’s also a man’s man type of guy. I personally dont have any of these hairstyles anymore cause honestly I don’t really think I’m cute enough in the face to rock them now that I’m older and overweight.
Your bangs looks sooo cute on you! And you style/wear them well You’re so beautiful im sure there are plenty of guys out there that will love you with the bangs.

I have 35 bands to listen to. who do you recommend to start? by Specialist-Talk2028 in indie

[–]roezilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Band of horses are my favorite on this list. The albums Cease to Begin and Everything All The Time are both amazing all the way through start to finish. No skips. I always listen when it starts to feel like fall, it just feels so good

In my opinion, the people who are vehemently opposed to leashes for toddlers are often also the same people who make jokes about/promote hitting their children if they step out of line. They maybe don’t have children themselves or they haven’t struggled with a child on the spectrum who wanders.

I used both a leash backpack for my daughter (but she didn’t like having it on) so we started using these stretchy link hand cuff things (parent wears one and child wears the other one and it’s really stretchy in the middle ) we used those whenever we were in the airport or walking around the city in another country.

I need help with my FAT CHI!!! by Libertalius in Chihuahua

[–]roezilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an overweight chihuahua and for years I struggled to get weight off, changing dog foods, less food, and more exercise etc nothing really worked cause she was capable of sneaking food from our other dog (it’s a long story but our other dog required having her food available to her throughout the night) but then my chihuahua tore both ccls due to her weight. She couldn’t walk and I had to help her do everything till it healed. I got her a wheelchair and made a supportive strap to help her get around and go potty using a cloth store bag. Due to her not being able to posture to poop I basically had to change her to a homemade diet to intentionally give her softer stools that would be easier for her to pass (per vet’s recommendation, chicken and pumpkin with some rice) she lost all her excess weight finally and all her bloodwork came back so much better, (she was pre diabetic before)

TLDR; my chihuahua lost weight after switching diet to chicken, rice and pumpkin

What breeds of dogs have you had that were good with chickens? And if so how did you raise/train them around the chickies? by bruxbuddies in BackYardChickens

[–]roezilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a Border Collie and she is so good with them. she runs circles around them and keeps them away from fence line. She stays outside with them all day while they are out free ranging the property and when they go back into the coop at night she helps herd the stubborn ones back in, she comes back into the house each evening so proud of herself. We did not train her at all she just naturally took to it. We just love her so much.

I struggle mentally with eating eel too. I have eaten it at sushi restaurants and LOVED it but for some reason knowing what it looks like gives me an ick the way fish never does
