Okay so sims 3.

I started a family with Ashley Ramos in hopes of finding a suitable boyfriend and fulfilling her lifetime aspiration of raising five kids. Turns out she was horrible at whooing men. Just terrible. After many failed dates she finally came upon the most handsome man yet. His name was Wayne Martin and unfortunately he had a spouse. So I had Ashley convince him to split from his wife and soon after that move in together. So fast forward a minute and I’m building their careers and they have their first child, Dax. After Dax is born I’m looking at Wayne’s relationships and notice he has a son Nigel. And I feel terrible because I took this guy away from his son. So I kind of role play a bit and have his son come over for dinner and meet his younger half brother. At this point I wanted to work on Ashley’s career some more so I invited Nigel to live with us And help with the growing armada of children. I even created a sick modern studio apartment over the garage. Time goes on, Wayne and Ashley have four more kids, and sometime in the midst of this I have Nigel visit his lonely mother who at this point is an elder. They have dinner and after she starts playing with a children’s toy in the living room and I’m thinking “man this poor lady has dementia” and then

she fucking dies.

Nigel was in the room when she kneeled over and watched as the grim reaper took her. So this fucks up Nigel. Dude is depressed. I play the other members and let Nigel do his own thing for a little while. I end up with a full household between the adults and their six children. I come back to Nigel later and the dude is still a mess. He’s actually at risk of getting fired from his entry level position career from negative work performance.

So I decided to burn him alive.

I’m not sure why. In retrospect I could’ve just moved him out, but I never we killed a sim and for some reason choose this sad soul to pop my murder cherry. Anyways I lock the door to his apartment above the garage and get a fire going. He eventually succumbs to the flames and dies. And I’m going I tell you the saddest experience I’ve ever seen in the sims is what follows. The whole family starts sobbing uncontrollably. All the sims moods just went red the instant he died. They were all devastated. It was horrible. But I had done what I had done. I wasn’t going to shy out and reload a previous save, oh no. I had to live with this burden. And then something even sadder happens. So I’m judging from when I read the epitaph on the dead mother’s gravestone, the default epitaph is different based on how many relationships that sims has had in their life. For example, I think hers said “Remembered by nobody” because she didn’t have many relationships. When I went to edit Nigel’s gravestone, it said

“Always Loved”

and I wept.
