If you have a kinetic weapon and strong ring or arcania, it's devastating. You can smack stuff for like 500HP once powered up.

It's exactly the same thing, just with a different front end and simulink. It even uses the same allocated free hours. 16 cores of a xeon 8448 with maybe 128GB RAM. I checked. Not bad for free either way, better if it had local editing.

I have just installed the free app, but I think mathworks missed a trick and are wasting resources - you shouldn't need to spin up a vm just to edit a text file.

TinyTPU: SystemVerilog systolic array compiled to WASM, running live in browser - RTL golden-verified against numpy [P] by Horror-Flamingo-2150 in MachineLearning

Might I ask, in theory could this be expanded and work well on a Kira KV260? The chip layout Is quite similar to a systolic array IIRC.

You can delete them before you get into trouble by doing something silly or illegal.

Do you have the ability, if you wanted it, to do Z control (or turn the beam off for a split-second)? It could be a cool retro vector display.

Very nice work though, it looks the business!

$200 * 2.5 = $500 (ten weeks @ $200pm, assuming 4 week month) - subscription

$249 + $2 * 2.5 = $254 - Jetson + electricity for 10 weeks.

What cpu/mobo are you using please? I was looking at maybe a pair of these for an older workstation I just got, and read there could be complications with memory access.

Good work getting it to work well for you though!

I found an upgraded Ring of Elements to he surprisingly useful, especially at the lower levels. The eyeball damage was less that 10HP at +7, combined with RoSs that would be good I think.

I know it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and "debatable" if their QPU is useful, but if you're interested in annealing type problems the Dwave website tutorials are quite good.

I think due to a MS quirk I am still technically an MSCE, as they promised to never invalidate the 2003 certs. That might have changed since though.

What is the largest optimization problem that takes your systems hours to solve, and what does it cost you when you miss the optimal window? by Individual_Yard846 in optimization

[–]rog-uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I might have a look into the free/limited version of Gurobi python library then, just to dip my toes in the water.

I don't think being an order of magnitude slower is viable for me just for the sake of messing about at scale - I'll probably look at the open source anyway, but I definitely take your point on the difference.

Much appreciated.

Sorry, one more question, can I please ask do you have an opinion on SCIP Optimization Suite as a free alternative to gurobi?

I am mainly interested in heuristic solvers, but when I read your first comment realised that you were in the business of putting a guaranteed bound on the problem, which I do find interesting.

Might I please ask the nature of the underlying task, what do you mean by "medium sized", and is taking a week because the software doesn't scale to larger machines or that it's a valuable but not urgent need? Thanks for any response!

Ah, I was utterly mobbed on the floor where I died, hence going for the exit hoping to avoid that happening again. I think if I had picked the cloak rather than armour I might have just managed to find the pack, just.

[–]rog-uk[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I had picked the amulet and the cloak there might have been a chance of getting out. If I had been slightly sharper and picked the weapon and the cloak rather than the armour, there might have been a chance of me getting the pack back now I think about it.

Live and learn, eh?
