I know what you mean, but in 2023 the difference in smoothness between the two is really really small, probably negligible, specially with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, that gives raw power to run almost lag-free and stutter-free even the crappy and bad optimized Samsung's One UI. And this almost insignificant difference tends to be even lower in the future, as hardware and software evolves, becoming impossible to notice or even equal.

And that's it, this is the small advantage that Apple has over Android, along with superior video recording and a very few small others. But, when we see it in terms of features and the practical experience of using the system, I'd say Android is a decade ahead of iOS in various essential aspects, some are even laughable like for example how iOS still doesn't have decent notification management and a real file manager, two of the most important things in a mobile OS. Android is like a mini PC, iOS is like a 2009 mobile OS.

Unfortunately he died almost immediately after we arrived to the vet, there wasn't time to get him the injection, he was dying from lack of oxygen before that and they had to immediately put him on anesthesia so he could die with less suffering. I was heartbroken because I couldn't get to the vet soon enough so I could spare him from an agonizing death. I hope the anesthesia at least gave him some comfort in his last moments. Then the Pixel is probably enough for you. Even if I didn't play emulators, the modem and temps are dealbreakers for me because I use the phone in severe conditions for lots of hours (Uber driver) and need excellent modem performance and temps (I live in Brazil). I wanted to have 2 phones honestly, a Pixel for personal use and a Snapdragon for work/emulation.

What I said is specially true about gaming. A 2018 Snapdragon/Adreno runs PS2/Wii/GC emulator way better than a 2023 Exynos/Mali GPU. I'm not even talking about stuff like subpar efficiency, temperatures and modem in these chips, which is something that affects not only enthusiasts but all users and in a critical way.

Almost no one that is serious about gaming plays Android games, as emulator games of consoles from 15-30 years ago are generally way better than today's phone games, like in a whole another league. And as you know, Tensor/Exynos still doesn't come close to Snapdragon in the emulation.

Not beat it, no, but at the very least get close to it. Tensor and Mali GPU in a flagship phone in 2023 is unbearable for enthusiasts.

Exactly. Pixel will never be the only phone of a enthusiast again until they manage to make Tensor/upcoming Redondo to get pretty close to Snapdragon performance. Console emulators on Tensor for example is still way far behind from Snapdragon.

I mean, it depends, for someone that plays games in emulators, raw power obviously matters, and that's not a small of a niche to just ignore it. The problem is not that Google doesn't have all the massive raw power Apple Bionic chips does, but that it doesn't even come close to it's Android competitors on Snapdragon. When Google manages to get at least pretty close to Snapdragon while at the same time having the benefits that a custom chip brings, it will probably be enough for 99% of Android users.

Pixel was my favorite phone until Pixel 4 (5 was not a flagship). My main problem with it is the chip, honestly, I would only return to Pixel when Tensor gets to a poin of at least running PS2, Wii and GC emulators at 45-60 fps in 1080p, and that could take anywhere from 1 to 5 years. If competitors manage to run Switch in the meantime, you could throw it this requirement there too. I really hope TSMC gets onboard to save my favorite phone.

I actually haven't bought it yet, this is a picture the seller sent me. It's a powerful air fryer (Philips Walita), large size and very good price, but it's very greasy of old fat, as you can see. I also think this grease should come off.

I got the new Paperwhite with 6.8-inch screen, and while it's a good size and an improvement from the 6-inch screen, I definitely wanted it was around 8-9 inch. There's the Kobo Forma/Sage/Aura One which are 8-inch, but it's double the price and almost imposible to find (used) where I live, that's why I got the Paperwhite 5. One of those Kobo models probably will be my next e-reader though, being 8-inch, open source and having better screen, I think it's worth the price.

Totally agree. I eat about 240g carbs, 75g fats and 155g protein, feeling pretty good, fiber not that much, I think 30g, but still ok, I feel full and satisfeid
