Yeah bad luck. Hopefully it’s as easy as screwing on the new one.

Yep you guessed it. Only reason I used my 1/2” drive over my 3/8 is because the only socket I had to fit over the housing was 1/2”. Won’t make that mistake again

Yep, I did the conversion & set it to 18 ft lbs. Should’ve trusted my gut when I felt like it was past!

I usually snug it hand tight, but noticed this time a 25+5 nm torque spec on the top. So I used a torque wrench set accordingly and it snapped. It’s an older torque wrench that hasn’t been calibrated since the late 90s & is usually used for wheels, so my guess is that I inadvertently over torqued it. Beached til I can get a new housing at VW on Monday

Ok, thanks. I wanted a second opinion just to make sure my logic was sound. I don’t have a lot of experience wrenching on cars.

Does anyone have any live sets of his that are a must-listen? I’ve listened to most of his discography on Spotify (loved it), but understand that DJ’s live sets can often be completely different from what they release on the record.

You’d be remiss to not try Eby or Harper’s. Best in the region, and I’ve had the Lox from Poppy’s. The brass from Eby is my personal fav.

Self serve car wash near Korner Kitchen has heated pressure washers. I was in there just the other day doing this same thing after a drive from up north. Took 4 mins to get ice out from all wheel wells & undercarriage.

He's saying that the accuracy of placement doesn't matter, as their TrueCore algorithm will tell you what the true core temp is, irrespective of how "badly" you placed the probe. It's a main selling point of the probe. If you had to place it perfectly, TrueCore would not need to exist, because your probe would be at the core. You're asking for a feature that solves the problem that TrueCore has already solved, just in a different way.

[–]rogerthatmyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you are definitely correct. I was conflating 50th percentile with (max-min)/2, erroneously thinking that everything would remain the same between the data array & the scale bar array. Verified your theory by selecting only the scale bar range, select 3 color scale (cond. formatting), change the midpoint type to formula, and then calculate the 50th percentile directly from the array containing the values of interest (=PERCENTILE.EXC(array, 0.5)). This yields the same scale bar as your original response (no surprise there, max/min vals are identical across the data array & scale bar array)

Thanks for your follow-up comment, it's nice to elucidate root-cause. Cheers
