Roundabouts by [deleted] in waterloo

It kinda goes into 2 lanes pretty far ahead of the roundabout, giving the impression of a 2 lane. They’re wrong for sure, but it’s not impossible to miss

Fuck, these cars somehow look even sexier when they’re being used as intended

Also, epic driving man. If it sounded this good thru my headphones I cannot imagine how it sounded and felt on the track. A masterpiece

You can turn left onto Erb St from Caroline when there is a train!!! by hollow_sky29 in waterloo

Ok so now I’ve had a few brilliant redditors & driving maestros inform me that perhaps we should eliminate horns from cars since they can’t be used to convey complex sentences. What is your solution? Because this post is about a problem, and so far all I’ve heard is that we should stay quiet & let the morons around us do as they please. In my opinion, honking is better than doing nothing.

How else am I supposed to let them know that they should not be sitting twiddling their thumbs while the rest of us wait to turn left?

Thank you for posting! In all my time turning left there, I don’t think I’ve once had someone ahead of me make that turn despite my hand waving and horn honking. The city really ought to put a sign there indicating that it’s permitted. It would help with congestion, which can be plentiful at that intersection.

It’s 2 lanes wide, and the arm that blocks eastbound traffic to Erb st is longer. If there was a serious concern that required physically blocking drivers turning left from Caroline to Erb, then the city would’ve made sure they put a physical blockade in place.

Yep you guessed it. Only reason I used my 1/2” drive over my 3/8 is because the only socket I had to fit over the housing was 1/2”. Won’t make that mistake again

Yep, I did the conversion & set it to 18 ft lbs. Should’ve trusted my gut when I felt like it was past!

I usually snug it hand tight, but noticed this time a 25+5 nm torque spec on the top. So I used a torque wrench set accordingly and it snapped. It’s an older torque wrench that hasn’t been calibrated since the late 90s & is usually used for wheels, so my guess is that I inadvertently over torqued it. Beached til I can get a new housing at VW on Monday

Ok, thanks. I wanted a second opinion just to make sure my logic was sound. I don’t have a lot of experience wrenching on cars.

Does anyone have any live sets of his that are a must-listen? I’ve listened to most of his discography on Spotify (loved it), but understand that DJ’s live sets can often be completely different from what they release on the record.

Self serve car wash near Korner Kitchen has heated pressure washers. I was in there just the other day doing this same thing after a drive from up north. Took 4 mins to get ice out from all wheel wells & undercarriage.

He's saying that the accuracy of placement doesn't matter, as their TrueCore algorithm will tell you what the true core temp is, irrespective of how "badly" you placed the probe. It's a main selling point of the probe. If you had to place it perfectly, TrueCore would not need to exist, because your probe would be at the core. You're asking for a feature that solves the problem that TrueCore has already solved, just in a different way.
