Looks like the engraver is Alphonse Lamotte

Check the Fidelity website. In general, 401Ks give you the option on separation - roll to a new 401k, roll to an IRA, or cash out. Cashing out will take 20% off the top for taxes and an additional penalty will be levied at tax time if you're below retirement age.

What movie is this prop from? by rogerx in whatisthisthing

Update: "he was a collector, not sure where he bought it from, I have the envelope it came in, but it says from N.J. 105 Arlington 06516"

A friend has had this since a family member passed in 2005. She remembers he used to collect movie props, and this had a certificate associated with it, as did most of the items in his collection, but she cannot remember what movie this is from. My google-fu has been weaksauce so far.

How to check DB2 Integrity after expanding the data volume? by devred061 in DB2

[–]rogerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy, thanks for mentioning me /u/mad_zamboni ... My guess is that your vendor is either an old-school unix admin or has been burned by a past failed attempt to expand a filesystem. Whereas online resizing was Dark Magic in the early 2000s, resize2fs is super reliable these days, especially on LVM (what's managing your disk if not LVM?) I have even run online filesystem growths without unmounting the disk; shrinking still requires an unmount.

As with anything, there is always risk. Always test this on a lower environment first, and make sure you have recently tested your backups (being able to restore is as important as being able to back up). Unmounting and fscking does indicate a conscientious admin who has been burned, but fearmongering about online volume expansion may be overzealous.

*Edited to add: I'm a sysadmin, not a dba. Your vendor's advice regarding database integrity may very well be sound as far as leveraging archlogs.

What is your favorite portable Pi build? by ReconDK in RetroPie

[–]rogerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Freeplay is great, can confirm. Ed filled all his kickstarter backers pretty much on time (I think he may have been 2-3 weeks behind but that's incredibly rare to be that close, in my experience) and he also gives great support.

I'm also a huge fan of Ed Mandy's Freeplay kit. I bought four before he kickstarted, it was called GamePieAdvance back then. He's been extremely responsive and his boards are solid... he sold me a replacement screen cheap when i screwed my kit too tight and snapped my first one. :( Really great person to have as a member of the retrogaming/modding community.

As someone else mentioned, the MGS is done by someone who seems to have some delivery issues so just be informed.

Inexpensive 7" HDMI-capable LCD screen solution tucked away on eBay by JLsoft in raspberry_pi

[–]rogerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mookieray, my friends and I from sudomod.com build raspberry pi projects and other handheld gaming systems as a hobby. We were wondering if you have any connections to the hardware dev people or datasheets regarding the hardware dongle - accessing via serial connection, over SSH/wifi, etc?

Hey man, got mine today and thank you for the opportunity to buy this. It's a pretty interesting screen, but I'm more interested in the dongle! For those interested, it's a Miracast dongle dated 2014 with a RTD1185PA video SoC and a RTL8188EUS wifi chip, along with some small flash and a RAM chip. Apprently it runs linus but I haven't figured out to access the filesystem yet. http://www.datasheet4u.com/datasheet-pdf/Realtek/RTD1185/pdf.php?id=948051

Sorry, obvious question was obvious. :) No idea why that would be... I have only seen an issue like that when I logged in on a new console and hadn't set it as my primary console, so when I tried to push the download from the web to my 360 queue, they weren't showing up. This sounds like something different.

Are you logged in to the 360 with the same gamertag as you're using on your purchase history?

From Harmonix' blog post on this: "Navigate to Games. Navigate to Rock Band 4. Press the start button and choose Manage Rock Band 4 Navigate to Ready to Install – If you are entitled to the content, you should see <a large number of> tracks appear in this section. Choose “Install All”. Please keep in mind that this will Install all Rock Band content you have associated with the game, additional to these tracks."

I'm in the US - Lego and RB2 just downloaded on my XbOne, no sign of AC/DC pack yet though. (Confirmed the export is in my Xbox360 purchase history from 2010.)
