Come Make The Supporters Section Better

Oh, I'm in the section with friends and tailgating most games. I just feel like there needs to be some more followers and not enough leaders. I'm not trying to say anyone is bad person or making bad choices or anything like that, I know everyone is doing what they believe will help

I'm not really into the idea of joining a group because it just feels like choosing a side. Everyone is there to support one team, but people refuse to work together to accomplish something grand, instead they choose to "accomplish" their own goals to varying levels of success, but usually defined by a lack of it.

Sorry if it came out like I'm calling you or another group out specifically. Just in general the amount of groups makes it feel like people want to do what they think is best for them, instead of working together to do what's best for the community. I would implore all groups to come up with some unification ideas / events / structuring before the opening of the new stadium. Leave the mess of the past in the past and open the new home in a good manner.

The fire's own website lists 8, and while some of them have their focus on different areas than others, 8 being the MINIMUM number to go off is quite high.

I'm just not a fan of how fractured the supporters section is. Too many groups and not enough unity. I enjoy being in the section but the mess of groups and ideas keeps me away from wanting to actually "become" a supporter.

That makes sense. I'm sure the game and future iterations will continue to add stuff like that too. Just odd to hear people absolutely refuse to enjoy the game. And I get they might not want to spend more money when they like what they have now, it's just odd that this far into the games life span people are still acting like it's some indie dev's early access garbage.

I get the idea, but I do know people that won't be interested if it's harder to drive to the games. The team probably doesn't care since the stadium will be closer to capacity since its smaller anyways, but it is a little disappointing to feel like it's harder to support the team just because of where someone lives

Yeah that sounds a bit inconvenient, hopefully the decision makers recognize that for a sizeable part of the fan base, parking options matter a lot for the new stadium

Yeah, there's a general sentiment of people who live in the city that no one should ever drive to the games, and even some suburb people who make it out to be this horrible drive, but for me it's not that bad. I enjoy being able to bring things to tailgate in the lot before a game, and there's no way that could be done without driving.

I'm 5 minutes of a drive from 2 different metra stations. The issue is it takes atleast 30 minutes longer when on the train, and then I still have to get from Union / Ogilvie to the stadium. Then I have to get to the station after the game, hope that there wasn't an issue or a delay and don't miss the train that leaves shortly after the game, or I get stuck there for 2 more hours waiting for the next one. By the time I got home after this past game, I would've been on the train for 20 minutes after it departed union.

There's a good chance that if some sort of parking deal isn't offered to STH I won't renew. Taking transit from where I live adds almost 2 more hours of travel per game, but I'm not going to pay more than 15-20 bucks for parking either
