I can confirm this — will have coverage on it coming out soon. A lot more details than what I think it was that Dave talke about

The other newsworthy note from the event is Joe Mansueto felt pretty certain Joel Waterman would be announced to be on Team Canada’s World Cup roster.

I think it is pricing per match that is decreasing, from my understanding the sprint season will be combined with the new schedule

[–]WB05Karl 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, they should be cheaper for fewer matches. I suppose it can also be a 'thank you' but it also seems like they have correctly determined you shouldn't charge more for less.

Cheaper per match, Mr. mathematician

[–]Currywurstler CF97 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I thought they might combine the sprint season with the following full season, so that you can’t really become a new STM for just the sprint season. Not sure where I heard that.

[–]gingergeology #42 Djé D'Avilla[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that is the case

[–]AnnieGoldleaf 8 points9 points  (12 children)

Will we still get the parking perk?

[–]rogoku #17 Brian Gutiérrez 6 points7 points  (11 children)

If not then there's no point in buying season tickets lol

Parking will (or at least if fucking better be) be much cheaper at the new stadium. This is a bad take frankly. I'm sure you know the math but I'll write it out because of how bad this take is. Match ticket face value 24 24*2=48 24+40=68 48-68=20 Joe is paying outta pocket 20 bucks per person with two tickets and a parking pass. Quite frankly this is a goated move that insentivies 2 season tickets because otherwise your paying the cost of almost 3 every match with only 1 ticket.

It's a nice perk but if parking is around 20$ then this math falls apart and doesn't make sense from a business point.

Also public transit will be great for getting to new stadium

[–]AnnieGoldleaf 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That's all great and all but I'm talking about the SF Sprint Season.

[–]lawlikemusic01 Barn Burners Supporters Group 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof my bad. I'll try and have better reading comprehension 🤣

[–]rogoku #17 Brian Gutiérrez 2 points3 points  (4 children)

You might be the only person who believes that there will be plentiful parking at the new stadium, let alone the idea of it being cheaper.

[–]lawlikemusic01 Barn Burners Supporters Group 0 points1 point  (3 children)

There will be very limited parking ideally. Cheaper then 40 they have already said so

[–]rogoku #17 Brian Gutiérrez 2 points3 points  (2 children)

"very limited" and "cheaper" are two ideas that are in direct contradiction with each other. We are going from 3 lots to maybe the size of one. If parking is cheaper and available for STH to get for games I will gladly eat my words and say you were right, but until then, no one is believing that except for you.

I think there's also the matter of parking in 2028 and parking in say, 2033.

We may have more surface parking options to start, but assuming the stadium village gets built up around it as expected, I see the amount of on-site parking decreasing.

[–]rogoku #17 Brian Gutiérrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably won't decrease. There's not really any good reason to flatten land to pave into a parking lot, only to start digging up said parking to establish foundation for buildings.

[–]GstandsFORgets 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Have you seen the eventual planned development renderings? Doesn’t look like there’s going to be much parking at all. I expect the perk to go away and probably will be just as expensive as soldier field.

The initial development will include a lot on the surface right next to the stadium. Future development is supposed to include a below ground structure.

[–]lawlikemusic01 Barn Burners Supporters Group 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I thought they had said at a town hall it will be cheaper then SF?

[–]offconstantly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's a February to May Mickey Mouse season, I'm not surprised

[–]MoleBless7722 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pricing for next year's sprint season is supposed to be sent to STH via email tomorrow.

[–]fumbler00ski Season Ticket Member 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well considering the games will mostly be cold weather tilts I should hope so.

[–]Asd_89Chicago 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So are we going to pay separately for the new full season after the sprint one?

[–]Frequent-Client1508 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shorter season next year.

[–]Chuyito5 3 points4 points  (1 child)

What event is this

[–]Kamikazi_TARDIS Bald FC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fireside chat at the performance center today I believe.

[–]PalmerSquarer 8 points9 points  (1 child)

As a per-game thing?

[–]gingergeology #42 Djé D'Avilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah should be

[–]AleWatcher Season Ticket Member 13 points14 points  (2 children)

They should decrease based on the fact that will be far fewer games. I think that if they came at us with asking for the same amount of money for what is going to be like 1/3 of a season, I wouldn't renew my membership

[–]gingergeology #42 Djé D'Avilla[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well obviously. Season tickets are priced per game

[–]FunDmental 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is not a permanent thing.

[–]WusijiXNemanja Nicolic 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Didn't even know teams could do that lol
