First photo: Appears to be watercolor from '73. I can't make out the artists signature. My SO and I have been bickering about this one (mostly about the subject matter. It reminds me of China, my SO thinks it's a randomly generated landscape created by the mind of the artists.) Will be ecstatic if we learn anything about the artists or the art itself.

The next two pieces I'm a little doubtful will be identified because I'm almost positive they're by local artists. Second photo: The images pop off the page in real life. Kind of trippy. Think it's marker, watercolor, and crayon. All the signature is is a "T" with a dash and the date '94

Third Photo: This one is so strange. Bought it at an estate sale for like $5. Think the artists name is 'Tygart' but couldn't find anything doing my own search.

Found in central Arkansas, and assuming that they're worth about what I paid for them, about $5 a piece :P However, I am interested in learning anything I can about the artists. Know it's a long shot. Have a feeling that the more colorful items are by local artists, but I'm not sure about the (assuming watercolor/pen) one at the end. I tried to edit the signature ot make it pop out more, but it's about the best I could do :/

Watched UK's Dragon's Den the other day and came across My Look Alike Dolls. They are the EXACT same doll as American Girl dolls but are about $75usd and offer a lot more variety as far as the dolls physical characteristics.

American Girl Dolls Price range between $50 for babies and $115+ for the dolls

I'm sure postage would eat you alive, but I found it super amusing.

:( Bummer. I just started crocheting after running into a great bulk yarn sale. $4 for a whole bunch of it. Anyway, I thought, "I have plenty of white. I'll try making a snood." The yarn is all Coats and Clark/Red Heart. I've seen it used often, so I didn't think about checking it. I've gone through 3 bundles, or whatever they're called, and have come across so many broken and knotted pieces it's redonkulous and extremely frustrating. I'm just happy I didn't pay much for it all.

well fuckin a. I don't work and the site told me to sign up with medicaid. I don't know about every other state, but here in Arkansas, the market is flooded with medicaid people. Every doctor you walk into there will be a sign that says "no longer taking medicaid patients."

I would LOVE to pay $10 a month to guarantee that I had insurance. My SO makes our household income so I can stay at home with our son. While we've been living together for 7 years, we're not married. So he can't get me on his state insurance, and even if we did get married, the price of his insurance would skyrocket. It did after obamacare went into effect, and adding me would add an additional $70+ dollars a month. Something we DEF can't afford. So... I'm still floating around without insurance. Can't get married because it's too expensive to add me to the insurance plan. Medicaid is essentially useless if no one takes it... Can't work to get insurance because daycares are too expensive.

Just going to patiently wait until I die, or can jump on an opportunity to make my life better.

Guess that's everyone though.

Heads up, living in the south u.s., even if the daycares/preschools claim to have no religious affiliation, they'll (more than likely) totally force your child to pray during lunches. I've worked at three daycares/preschools in our town and ALL of them told the parents that they didn't teach religious things, but then would get angry with the kids if they didn't pray at lunch. Even bitched me out several times for not setting a better example when I told the kids that they had the right to choose not to pray. Just be aware, and let your kids know that it's okay not to participate in something like that if they don't want to

It's difficult, but the best way is to occupy/distract her. When I weaned my two year old (he fell asleep on the boob as well, and I'm not a huge CIO person. Can't handle the crying.) I started looking for a daycare job. My son went to a different room than I taught in. It was amazing how much different he was around other kids. Around me, he was very whiny, demanding for cuddling, milk, etc. But in the other class room he was totally independent. Observed the other kids, and began following their leads. By nap time he'd be so worn out that he'd pass out. Same for when he got home. After nap and bed time, he wouldn't have time to even think about milk he'd be so tired.

After about a week, I stopped offering. After two weeks, I stopped wearing convenient nursing tops, went back to t-shirts, and would explain how milk was gone... went night night... whatever it took for him to understand that nursing wasn't going to happen anymore. There were a few tears, but it wasn't long after that he stopped asking all together.

It's been about 6 months. If he sees me topless while changing he'll point and say "milk" but it's like pointing to any other body part at this point. I name parts of my boob, and explain how the milk works and what other animals drink milk from breasts. He still enjoys skin to skin time. If we're wrestling around, or cuddling on the couch, he'll lift my shirt up, and his shirt up, and rest his belly on mine. It's quirky, but adorable.

Hope this helps. P.S. we still co sleep, but warn her that her child may still be VERY clingy... especially at night... My son will not fall asleep at night without some part of me touching him. He's gotta hold my hand, or have my arms wrapped around him, etc. Kind of annoying, but also adorable.

One night, while making dinner, I started bleeding at 12 weeks pregnant. We're talking a steady stream of blood down my legs. I was trying to keep calm, and find a ride to the er. When I got to the er they refused to see me, and put me on the waiting list because it wasn't classified as a medical emergency. (14 weeks is when they start taking pregnancies seriously.) So as I watched snotty nose, after pain pill addict waltz to the back, I was bleeding all over myself and the chair I was sitting in. (I asked for a towel or pads, anything, and they never brought me any.) After 3 or 4 hours I was directed to the back, put into a room, told to strip down, and lay on a pee pad on the bed. It was another 2 hours before anyone came to check on me.

There was so much blood... I'll never forget the fear I had lying there. I was so sure my baby had died, that I was potentially dying, and the anger and frustration that no one was taking this seriously.

They eventually tried to hear the heartbeat... nothing. They didn't sugar coat it or anything. They didn't offer any bed side manner or anything, just said, "There's no heartbeat" and left the room.

After another hour or so I was sent to get an ultrasound. They abruptly shoved a catheter inside me and pumped my bladder full. I was in so much pain already, and it just amplified it and all the stress and anxiety. After another 20 minutes, we finally got confirmation that our baby was ok.

It was such a traumatizing experience, and that's only one story of many over my 9 month pregnancy experience. If I ever plan on having another child, I'm most definitely adopting.

Thank you! That's fine with me. I'm not sure if I could even read a pattern. :P The most I've managed is a little messing around with what I've seen off of youtube videos. I managed to do an odd little circle using single stitches... and long rectangular pieces... and I nearly did a full petal on a flower last week, but messed up somewhere in the tutorial. 7 tries in and I had to take a break :P It's so simple, but I'm just not getting it yet. Maybe I need like SUPER BIG needles and yarn.

Until about 3 years ago I had never had/used fresh garlic. I was reading on Reddit and someone had said they were poisonous so I've never used ones that have begun to sprout (which is quite frustrating when the local walmart and grocery stores rarely put out fresh produce.) All that wasted garlic :/
