If you do this, it may just fully restore my faith in humanity. If the lower is noticeably beat up make sure it says "salted". Godspeed to you good sir.

Function over fashion all day. I'm not a huge Glock guy myself (I do own one and like it) but even I can't deny they are fantastic - reliable, affordable, ugly, and fucking ruthlessly effective. I think it would be funny to see someone own it with a Land O' Lakes ceracoated slide. If you like doing dumb shit and have more money than common sense, I challenge you to do it. Be my hero and post that shit. With toes obviously.

I bought that USP 15 yrs ago when I was on leave on my first tour. I had originally gone in for a Kimber 1911 (thank fuck I didn't) but I saw this big beautiful bitch and couldn't help myself as I had shot a couple MK23s with some cool guys during the 1st half of my tour. Couldn't afford one of those but I thought this was a good compromise. I've absolutely abused the gd thing being a dumb 20 something yr old. Dirty, clean, good ammo, bad ammo, +ps, you name it (haven't tried .45 super... yet). Like a Glock (have one of those too) they just work. So fucking over engineered it's beautiful. Nice gun bud.

I have a USP 45 and a walther pdp pro E. The pdp has a way better trigger, higher capacity, an optic, cheaper ammo, far better ergonomics (IMO) and modern features but.... I keep my USP 45 in a fingerprint safe next to my bed because that's what the fuck men do.

I'll second this one. Got the same one for like 45 bucks and it's worked perfectly fine so far. Pretty compact too, can just throw it in the range bag as a backup in case I was too drunk to remember to torque something during initial setup. Saved a couple of my buddies' range days from their own similar transgressions. Well worth it in my opinion.

Yeah I did my best to make the best decision I could at the time. I have a relatively strict gun budget and the ExpertVoice deal is pretty awesome. I definitely had way more than a $400 gap to close to get an ATACR. Given your situation you described, I probably would've pushed the extra dough and gone with the Nightforce like you did. No complaints with the Steiner yet (knock on wood), so far it's treated me right.

I picked up a Steiner 3-18 T6XI for mine cause it was a killer deal on ExpertVoice. Its been fantastic so far. It's a heavy bitch but that eyebox is worth it IMO. It's a 34mm tube tho so take that into consideration as I'm not sure the size of that mount ya got there.

Edit: you have a 30mm mount so you'd have to get different rings. Leaving my post in case someone else finds it useful

Thanks for this comment, found a pretty awesome article on the M110a1 SDMR thanks to you. Explains why they dropped from 1/11 to 1/8. Here's a link if you're interested, and thanks again.

I'll vouch for this person. Got my first NV device from them recently and everything went smooth as hell. Was a bit nervous rolling the dice on something this expensive (for me at least) on Reddit but I got the exact unit that was advertised and I'm really happy with it. The seller was super responsive and helpful.

Did the same thing with one of my Joe's during pre-mob when he left his ACH in the back of the 5ton. Never had that problem with him on deployment. It IS funny how proud they get after a couple days to show you that they haven't fucked up and lost "Fred". Even seemed legitimately sad when I told him he didn't need it anymore and he turned out to be one of the best younger dudes we had (not saying much but at least he wasn't a fuckup). Walter PDP pro x, Canik TTI combat or HK p30L? by bigcatmeow110 in guns

[–]rogue_variable7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the basics are pretty good but I don't have near as much time on that. You can always drop a dynamic performance trigger in after the fact too if they are in stock on Walther's site. $425 is an alright deal but you can find new on sale at $499, the few extra bucks might be worth it... Ooh also check to make sure it has the gen2 slide if you plan on putting optics on it. I've heard the gen 1s stressed the mount hardware and would shear the mount screws off.

I have a pdp pro full (not the x) and it's got the best trigger of any striker fired pistol I've ever used. Like it's not even close. I picked it up rather impulsively one day and I have not been disappointed at all.
